Me too, except mine has not been quality. The US dollar has crashed and burned. It is now worth LESS than the Canadian dollar. To me that means that in two years I have lost fifty per cent of my effective income. So, what that means,to put it in perspective. That if I had been making 700K, I am now making 300K. Do you think this might have an impact on your lifestyle?
And it all trickles down. I am much less likely to spend large amounts without first thinking about the consequences, which never happened in the past. The business still makes the same revenue, or slightly more, but the disposable income plummets. Fuck me I hate GW Bush.

Relax Chicken little. The sky isn't falling. The good 'ole American dollar has a way of rebounding.
It was the rampant housing industry sloshing money around 2 years ago that started it. Then the government, in their infinite wisdom, thought it might be a good idea to raise interest rates. Thereby putting hundreds of thousands of Adjustable rate borrowers into negative cash flow hell.
Result: Foreclosures are at an all time High.

The people that are in trouble are artificially in trouble. The government didn't have to raise interest rates and put those people in trouble. Sure, they shouldn't have qualified for those loans. But they did, and they were surviving. The rise in rates killed them for no good reason, other than the government wanted to screw with people.

It has EVERY impact on Porn. This is one of the first places people run to for an easy money making snack.
And one thing I've learned in my 25 years in the Porn Biz....people will always find money to buy their porn. When I was in the video Biz, some of the busiest rental times was when the local factory had people on layoff.
It's cheap entertainment.

And fortunately, I'm in a recession proof end of the Biz. So it doesn't affect us.

I worked in network television most of my life and in the beginning of my career we were all saying we were "recession and lay off proof" because when things go for shit, folks stay home and watch free tv. What happened, was every jerk water community college around started pumping out Jr. Peter Jennings and the market was saturated and the salaries started to decline. Then came the internet, CNN and all kinds of other influences on our cozy recession proof world. The networks had less money due to competition and a lot of folks got laid off. When GE bought NBC heads rolled. It was worse at CBS. So, if you really believe you are recession proof, good luck.
