Children are allowed in liquor stores if they are accompanied by an adult. And there are TONS of laws about when liquor stores can be open and where they can be located. Not to mention there are a LOT of areas in GA where there are no liquor stores - because the people don't want them there. Ellijay just had a pour by the drink vote for liquor and it was voted down. Let the people vote if they want an adult store there or not. Going by the town meetings, they aren't wanted there.
Seriously, remember, I WAS one of those housewives in what's now John's Creek and the equally snobby East Cobb. The demographics there wouldn't be caught dead in that store. They WILL drive to the one in Norcross or Sandy Springs, but they don't want to run the risk of anyone they know seeing their car in the lot. Most order over the internet anyway.
