Because of the things that happen to Meat when he goes *anywhere*, I nicknamed him Mr. International Incident a few years back...
Hell he's probably had more harrowing and interesting experiences in 12 hours than Joe had in 3 months. Monkeys attacking him, locals dancing with him after wild motorcycle rides and taking all of his money - crazy stuff.

You gave up POT?!? Holy shit. Congratulations Meat!!!

IIRC, you guys will be traveling in August (the show), but if not, I would come down early or stay late and get Michael to hook up with us.

LMK!
wig,
let's do it! we scaled back our traveling plans for summer,
Florida without snow birds is a paradise on earth, so we decided to stay.
We'll be back from Oregon a week before the show,
and looking forward to the dinner!

People, usually Americans, who claim to be "seeing Europe" in less than two weeks.
Joe,
I met plenty of Australians on the tours who came to Europe to see 20 countries in 4 weeks just because it takes so long to travel to Europe.

You are meeting the wrong kind of Americans when you stay at student hostels
;-))

you might consider different accomodations next time you travel,
you passed the age of innosense to hang out with uts

Do I wanna bet? No thanks. You may well have travelled more than me. If so, congratulations. I respect well travelled people, particularly those who do it independently and at ground level instead of staying at the Hilton and doing guided tours.

I've travelled through 28 countries. Spent well over a year in total on the road.

Lots more to see of course but I'm not doing too badly for 34.
Joe,
I did both and can honestly say:
you see/learn 3 times more on the guided tours than on your own.

have you ever taken any decent guided tours?

Tours with your "uts group" not counted.

good questions!

It's a long ride on the mule, but I know Jack would be up for it. He is getting bored now that we have Jake and he does not get as much attention. ;-)

The duck was great last time and that egg plant / garlic thing Serge made was something that I have craved a few times since then.

CJ:

Hey girl! We are having a lot of fun with the garden! It is so nice to step outside for fresh herbs, and we'll have a bumper crop of eggplants and peppers when you get here.

Your Stuffed Pork dish sounds divine....come show us how!
