I hardly ever make it over here to even lurk, but I have to pass on the following info.
D-Man let the cat out of the bag last wednesday, but I just want to let you all know the real deal. Pattue deserves that. Last week she was diagnosed with cancer. It has metastisized and she has a rather large tumor. She is scheduled for surgery on the 26th of this month to remove it and hopefully that's all she will have to endure. If you don't know who PattyeCake is you should. She's likely the best damned account representative that any program can claim as having. She is a diehard worker and *always* gets things done for her people. Each year she single-handedly sponsors a charity auction for adoptive and underprivileged children for Christmas. She plays Santa Claus and entices you and I to contribute to this effort and "adopt" a family. PattyeCake has a bigger heart than most of us combined and she has always been there for her people. Well. now she needs us. She's going thru something that most of us can not imagine. At the very least I want you all to voice your support in this thread so she can see just how much she is loved and revered. I'm not *actively* looking for contributions/etc, but if you would like to help in any way email me to venturi at cyboriginal dot com and I will make sure that anything and everything offered goes directly to PattyeCake. regards, venturi

This is truely sad. All I know of Pattye Cakes is that she was one to try and get help for those that needed it.

The tumor is blanketing her female organs - I'm hoping you know what that means. It's growing rapidly and eradicating it is becoming more and more important every day. I shant get into details but will say that it's nothing to laugh at. Pattye needs our support and love. I don't know what your motivation is, but your post(s) on GFY on this issue were unfounded. Think about this - had you spent the past 8 years supporting webmasters and saw a post like you made there from someone that didn't know shit about anything - how would you feel? PattyeCake has been a constant force always helping out her affiliates. What have you done? I'm sorry to have to make my 2nd post on this board a bitch fest, but what the fuck?! Carrie, how about you put yourself in this person's position for just a moment. I know you haven't gone off yet here on Oprano but your comments on GFY definitely were uncalled for. If you don't know who PattyeCake is then you probably don't know shit about this biz. If I'm totally out of line with this post, I appologize to all parties mentioned. I'm pissed off and am very concerned about one of the most wonderful members of this industry. I'm spouting off.

I'm just pissed her Dr. isn't letting her come to Atlanta. :angry: (it is obvious that we will all need to get really drunk and call her in the middle of the night during the show.  )
