I hardly ever make it over here to even lurk, but I have to pass on the following info.
D-Man let the cat out of the bag last wednesday, but I just want to let you all know the real deal. Pattue deserves that. Last week she was diagnosed with cancer. It has metastisized and she has a rather large tumor. She is scheduled for surgery on the 26th of this month to remove it and hopefully that's all she will have to endure. If you don't know who PattyeCake is you should. She's likely the best damned account representative that any program can claim as having. She is a diehard worker and *always* gets things done for her people. Each year she single-handedly sponsors a charity auction for adoptive and underprivileged children for Christmas. She plays Santa Claus and entices you and I to contribute to this effort and "adopt" a family. PattyeCake has a bigger heart than most of us combined and she has always been there for her people. Well. now she needs us. She's going thru something that most of us can not imagine. At the very least I want you all to voice your support in this thread so she can see just how much she is loved and revered. I'm not *actively* looking for contributions/etc, but if you would like to help in any way email me to venturi at cyboriginal dot com and I will make sure that anything and everything offered goes directly to PattyeCake. regards, venturi |
Pattyecake,
There is so much I could say about you, You are a beautiful, wonderful person and human being :) My prayers are with you, everything will be just fine. Please let me know if you need anything. Loves and Hugs Todd |
This is truely sad. All I know of Pattye Cakes is that she was one to try and get help for those that needed it.
Good thoughts and best wishes to her in a time of need! |
Best of thoughts & prayers to you PattyeCake... from Burtros & I both.
Hope to see you check in here with us soon & let us know you've beaten it all and are kicking ass. We love ya... :D |
Venturi, where is the tumor?
PattyeCake.... {{{{{HUGS}}}}} sweety, you'll come through this just fine and hit the ground running. Have faith, and when the doctor tells you to rest, please do it! |
Carrie,
The tumor is blanketing her female organs - I'm hoping you know what that means. It's growing rapidly and eradicating it is becoming more and more important every day. I shant get into details but will say that it's nothing to laugh at. Pattye needs our support and love. I don't know what your motivation is, but your post(s) on GFY on this issue were unfounded. Think about this - had you spent the past 8 years supporting webmasters and saw a post like you made there from someone that didn't know shit about anything - how would you feel? PattyeCake has been a constant force always helping out her affiliates. What have you done? I'm sorry to have to make my 2nd post on this board a bitch fest, but what the fuck?! Carrie, how about you put yourself in this person's position for just a moment. I know you haven't gone off yet here on Oprano but your comments on GFY definitely were uncalled for. If you don't know who PattyeCake is then you probably don't know shit about this biz. If I'm totally out of line with this post, I appologize to all parties mentioned. I'm pissed off and am very concerned about one of the most wonderful members of this industry. I'm spouting off. |
FUCK! I mentally put Cassie and Carrie as the same people. Damn. Sorry Carrie for lumping you into the same person. Please forgive me.
|
PC is a fighter and has bounced back from other obstacles in her life. She'll bounce back from this too! :) I'm just pissed her Dr. isn't letting her come to Atlanta.
(it is obvious that we will all need to get really drunk and call her in the middle of the night during the show. :awinky: ) |
Best wishes go out to PC.
I know shell bounce back from this. She is a strong willed woman. Btw..I hope, I never get sick and my phone number gets out. That's all I need is a bunch of drunks calling me in the middle of the night. :biglaugh: |
There is no doubt PC has been a lone voice in the wilderness, always trying to help those out in need. She will be in my prayers.

yes lady m it was me! the way that thread was started and the contents of the first post angered me to no end. that was not a drama thread and her situation should not have been posted so lightly (imo). i felt it was a pathetic attempt at usual gossip over there and she is too nice of a person to go through that. i have dealt with her all too often, knew she was having problems since after july (with regards to her job) and seeing that set me off. if those who read that post objectively cannot understand that, so be it. im not going to defend nor explain myself. i had a very close friend go through uterine and cervical cancer. it is not something that should be spoken about lightly regardless of what the end intention is. therefore carrie did nothing wrong and should not be blamed. and by the same token, i will not apologize for my response. there was a far better way at going about announcing that info. with this being said, i will say no more about it and am not interested in debating/defending my response. |
venturi - are you posting this with PC permission?
|
I am so sorry.
On Valentines Day I got new that my niece who is the same age as my son, 26, had cancer. It was a huge mass, aprox 8 inches right above her uterus. Later that evening a friends mother called to tell me he had been in an accident where a tree fell on his head and that he may not make it through the night. Both cases looked pretty grim. He’s like family to me. They are both doing great. Not perfect but much better then we imagined. I’m not one for modern medicine but I will say that there are great things happening… this was proof. It’s going to be a long road ahead. Hang in there because it will be ok. If you have pets and close to Florida I am happy to look after them during your recovery. |
My love and best wishes go out to her, she does so much and is such an inspiration, please post if there is ANYTHING we can do :inlove:

1st off, again Carrie I'm sorry I confused you with Cassie. It was NOT my intention - it's been a very emotional week for me and I confused r's with s's.
Cassie, I can understand your opinions but your comments truly wre unfounded. Baddog posted that thread based upon information that I provided to him directly. I didn't say "go post this" nor did I tell him "don't say anything". I have been in constant contact with Pattye since she heard the news from her doctors and YES, she did authorize me to let people know what is going on. I refuse to go into what happened with FC here, as that is an issue that the parties involved need to resolve on their own. My own mother went thru this type of cancer so don't think I don't know what kind of intimacy discussing it on an open forum means. I only released this information after consulting with Pattye. She wanted her friends to know her medical condition and the boards was basically the option available given the circumstances. I also msg'd mutual friends to let them know directly what was going on. Did baddog start that thread incorrectly? I don't think so. He initiated discussion that needs to be discussed. And by doing so he also garnered support for Pattye in the process. You however, waltzed into the thread and started throwing darts at people and THAT was wrong. You had no idea at the time what initated that thread and you should have censored yourself to being a friend as you claim to be of pattye's and providing love and support to pattye instead of bashing everyone else. I think your priorities might be a bit skewed. Now please, can we redirect this thread back to it's original purpose? To support PattyeCake in whatever way that anyone can? I think that would be the smart thing and let's put the daggers away. Thanks! |

That woman will not stop!!! I kinda wish I still lived in KC so I could drive over to her place in Missouri and tie her down. Chains might not be strong enough though. I'm thinking we might have to go with some kind of mideval device that suspends her above a precipice overlooking an abyss in order to contain her. LOL |
dont forget super glue!!!!
LOL |

If anyone was out of line, it was you. |
My heart goes out to PattyCake and her loved ones. All the kids she has helped us help over the years...if I can help in anyway please let me know.
|
PattyeCake....
I have so many memories of my time on the adult net, some good, some bad, some absolutely horrendous...but my memories of you are ones that continue to warm my heart. I remember meeting you for the first time. You introduced me to my first Black Russian. (and my second...and my third...) My thoughts, prayers, and all the positive energy I can muster go your way. You've accumulated enough good Karma for several incarnations. I know that you will continue to do so. Blessed Be. |

One of us is a nitwit....I hope it's you... |
now why do you insist on keeping this going?
there is no reason to. i agree with venturi that pc needs support and the bantering over my comment is irrelevant and gives no support to pc whatsoever. i did not make that post so that is the talk of the town; it was the way i felt and not you or anyone else will tell me how to feel or how to express what i feel. is that clear? my heart aches for someone so nice to come down with something so vicious. hopefully all of the medical progression that has been made in the last 30 yrs can rid pc of this illness. if calling me school yard names makes you feel better, great. doesnt affect me but makes you feel better. now, as venturi stated, if you can keep with the topic at hand, i think that would make you feel a whole lot better then name calling. i am not the topic, pattyecake is. |
nit·wit
n. A stupid or silly person. psssssst ... Cassie ... I think Diamond Jim's point was addressed to Baddog. If you look at the pretty boxes you will see that. |
...Id be ashamed.

Apology accepted, but unnecessary... And you're right, PC is really the topic. She's always been a great lady in a shark-filled business and I have confidence the industry will rally to help her. If they can get donations going for a fucking boob job I hope they can help in serious need cases like this. My point here and at another location was that the Scott demonizing was incorrect as far as I understand the facts, and that if PC comes on and confirms what Scott has said, will the people who were barking admit they were wrong? Or are they too cool? |

[/b][/quote] i, and i am sure many others, agree with you on that beyond what words or donations can express. back in 93 this woman i worked with (we were really good friends) had endometriosis. it was so bad that during that time of the month, she would be bed ridden for a week. she was told she would never have kids, etc... now keep in mind she was 23 at the time and had just gotten married. the endometriosis got so bad that she had to be rushed to the hospital. turns out the obgyn she went to never conducted the proper testing and she actually developed cervical and uterine cancer. three months after she married, she passed. i remember her wedding...it was beautiful (even those the ass i went with kicked and screamed the entire time). you look at those around you who develop such a condition (i hate even talking about it like it's something life threatening even though it is. speaking of it this way kind makes it sound like it will go away...if you know what i mean) you realize your own mortality. with all the money this country has to not be able to find a cure for an illness that has been around since god knows when, just amazes me. on the positive side, pc is still young. she has her at home family and her online family and as i have heard it, support goes a long way in both fighting and recovery. |
