Default This Japanese Nuclear problem is fucking scarey

I was in Chernobyl in May, 1987 and it was the worst thing I have ever seen....fuck me I hope that never happens again.

Completely different type of reactor core, so a Chernobyl style meltdown isn't possible.

Three mile island didn't explode. Chernobyl and this are well beyond that.

No, but there was at least one confirmed radiation release, and half the core of of the reactor DID melt down. That reactor is now permanently closed.

Its interesting, there are no experts out there that will commit to an opinion. The reason is it is far worse than anything they have seen and they all say we are in uncharted waters. But I do know that the fifty workers that are left are dead men walking. The firemen that responded to Chernobyl all died within a few months. They were buried in Moscow and visited by hundreds of thousands. They had to be dug up and moved, because their corpses were so irradiated they were dangerous...even six feet under.
