Melissa Wolf Busted - Cocaine and Prostitution

According to WSBTV.com, luminary Penthouse Pet and adult internet model, Lisa Taylor (better known as Melissa Wolf), was arrested at her Atlanta area country club home. The pending charges include prostitution, possession of cocaine, and violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. As of 5:57 am EST, Wolf was being held Gwinnett County Jail.

I’ve known Melissa for a little over a year. We’re not friends by any stretch, but I have had the pleasure of chatting with her here and there. In fact, I tried to line her up to speak on my panels at Dragon*Con this past year to give a female model’s perspective on the adult industry. Unfortunately (or fortunately, I’m not sure which) that never worked out.

It’s a shame about this arrest, though. I like Melissa. She’s never been the type mince words or otherwise tell me anything but the truth. She’s honest about what she does for a living, both with her acquaintances and herself. Hell, I even once heard her yell out, “I suck dick for a living!” in a crowded room that wasn't full or porn people.

looks like they did what is called a "buy/bust" with her involved, which means they basically had an undercover cop sell her cocaine in order to get into her house and/or arrest her

I am not sure if it was ever illegal here. They can bust you for soliciting...asking for money for sex. Or keeping a common bawdy house...brothel. But prostitution is totally legal.

Think it may be in rather bad taste to discuss her being worth it or not, or anything of that sort seeing as she's been arrested for a crime which in a lot of people's (especially around here) opinion is not an arrestable offence.

The video for WSB said "leased" house. I was going to be impressed if either of them were organized enough to have the assets or credit to actually own the house.

And yeah, real estate prices in Georgia are pretty sweet. A million bucks gets you a 6000 sq. ft. home in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in town. That house would be on the low-end of that neighborhood, but would easily be a $2-3 million house in California, Seattle or anywhere in the northeast.

Sugarloaf is where the Bellsouth Classic is held every spring and is home to a fair percentage of Atlanta's sports stars and celebrities.

Wrong neighborhood for "incall".

I know the area well since Sugarloaf is literally just around the corner from me. That neighborhood is a veritable "who's who" among Atlanta's wealthy and famous.

And gated is an understatement. You do not just drive thru there, the gates and security staff are pro's, not your typical rent-a-cops. So I wonder how long they were there because the security staff and the neighbors would no doubt took no time at all to notice the unusual activity and clamor for investigation.

They mentioned "lude behavior" in view of neighbors which I can only assume is getting freaky in the pool. Again, if you're doing that in that type of neighbhorhood within site of your neighbor's kids room, etc, you have no right to act surprised when you get attention from the cops.

Hell, I dont care how she made her living and if she was living there and shooting stuff for her website inside the house. But incall service is a bad idea.

Porter puts the house under surveillance for about a month and last night culminated it with a high profile story of a high priced "Prostitution Ring" being run out of a million dollar home in Sugarloaf Country Club.

Now Jim had himself a story, and the Gwinnet Paper had a field day with it as did all the Atlanta area news outlets.

To hear the story Melissa earned the money for that big house and all that nice furniture on her back.

Now Melissa faces prostitution charges and because of the value of the house Gwinnett County has invoked the RICO statutes so that they can steal her house from her.

I know Melissa, I have shot scenes in her home, I consider her a friend. Whatever Melissa may or may not be she certainly isn't involved in what anyone would consider organized crime, she simply makes a pretty decent living selling what is perfectly legal for anyone to give away.

My heart goes out to her right now, but I have no doubt that she will come through this just fine, you see, I also know Melissa has some pretty powerful clients who will likely protect her the way they want her to protect them....Some in the Federal Judicial area even. Too many people who don't want that client list to get out.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing when I saw that.

Going after the johns is purely a fear tactic. That's a misdemeanor, but it can wreck someone's life. Just as with stings where female cops dress up as street walkers, the idea is to try to cut down on prostitution by making the johns afraid.

My personal feeling is this is a victimless crime. Put it in a redlight district and let it be. But we're deep in the heart of the bible belt here.

Great traffic for her website and also for other related sites like TER, hope they're cashing it in. And she's gonna need the money for a good lawyer. She'll need a ponytail lawyer to get her out of this one.

What still perplexes me here is again why she'd have such a high level of visibility in such a high profile neighborhood. Stick with outcall or get a cheaper joint for biz in one of the more tolerant areas that is loaded with top shelf hired help such as Sandy Springs.

Or as Tony said, just work the Bunny Ranch as needed and stay legal. She was also doing real estate, and I've seen other business ventures mentioned (Baskin Robbins?) as well, so it doesn't seem that horizontal entertainment was her only source of income.
