Men! Pedicures... Too Gay?

I started a manicure thread a ways back, and now want to know if a man gets a pedicure, is there a problem?

Funnily enough......

Newton and myself decided up at Whistler to go for a manicure and a shave.

Trev went fucking mental on us , questioning our sexual preference quite vocally.

My option isn't on there. Pedicures isn't something I would personally do, as I wouldn't get any satisfaction out of it at all, but there is nothing wrong with a guy doing it.

The shave part of that trip Nick mentioned would be enjoyable. An old fashioned straight razor shave like that is something I could/would do but not the pedicure.

They're OK if don't put that clear polish on or buff the nails (toes or hands) where they shine. Men with shiny nails weird me out.

I don't get my toes done, but do get clear on my fingers.

This is what set off this poll. My manicure got noticed, it lead to pedicure, and the subsequent homo'ing received by yours truly.

I valiantly stood my ground, and advised my torementors that, "Until you get it done at least one time, you have no room to talk" and that your feet feel much better, and are more hygenic.

It was not enough to sway them. So I started speaking with a lisp and enunciated quite effeminately.

They gay talk always wins.

A man with a manicure gives me the impression of a man secure with himself, concerned about his appearance, and in an upper tax bracket.

This was one of the arguments given to Trev funnily enough in Whistler.

When he was grasping at straws and came up with the "Toni will think me gay" !

I explained to him that my wife has found me spooning asleep with XXXXX (name deleted at the request of the Philipino , who is fed up of being used in my examples of ramapant metro/gayness) and it didn't cross her mind that I was gay. Just REALLY REALLY wasted the night before.

I don't think I'd try the pedicure thing, because I don't like people fucking with my feet. Have done the manicure thing before, and it was nice, but not something I'd go out of my way to do.

No, the professionals were never called, nor will they be. Diabetics can't have pedicures, or manicures, either...unless they want to play "Gangrene Roulette."

However, despite that, I'm all for men who get manicures, pedicures, facials, professional shaves, all that sort of thing. It never would have occured to me to associate it with homosexuality, as the men who do these things do so to look better for themselves...and for women.

Regular pedicures are a good thing. Not just for having pretty toenails, but they keep you from having ugly callouses and cracked feet.

I go for pedicures and manicures every 4 weeks. The bottoms of my feets are as soft as a baby's bum.
