they might not have lost that much traffic and could even have gained traffic

i'm seeing the same thing on my end my traffic and alexa graph has gone in the apposite direction almost proportionally.

one explonation i heard today from RickL is that there's been a huge growth in foreign traffic on foreign sites and they now account for a large part of top sites in alexa. And in this case alexa graph ranks your sites in comparision to other sites above and bellow you and NON on your traffic

does that make sense ?
what do you guys think ?

That is very likely... looking at all the asian sites, then they have steady growth, while many us/european language sites are dropping.
