Ya know, it isn't that a single gun was found, but two were found plus a BB gun and another toy gun...

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,116778,00.html

stunning. You have the right to bear arms and leave them all over the place loaded for kids to play with.

Alex,

What's the point of over-generalizing?

I'll bet you $1000 I can find a story about a kid in Canada who found a gun "outside a junior high school" on Google.

Colin, elementary school, not one but two guns, both loaded, one had a bullet in the chamber (and it went off when it was accidentally dropped)... they also found a BB gun and a toy gun in the same schoolyard on the same day.

This wasn't during a police operation, but when kids were looking for easter eggs.

I don't think you would find that in Canada.

I'm sure you believe that a loaded rifle found near a CANADIAN junior high school is ok and finding two guns near an AMERICAN high school is not.

You only mentioned the toy gun to up the number to 4. Either that or you think the kid is going to drown someone.

Colin, nice long list. You had to look through an entire country for 13 years to find that many. I suspect that in the US, you could do that in a month. You will notice that most of the ones on the list show air guns, shotguns, etc. Remember, most of Canada is rural, not city. You might want to re-edit that list to show only handguns. It would be a short list.

I suspect more people died or were injured at Columbine.

These guns were found at an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Think about that. 6 to 12 year olds... not 14-18 year olds.

Vick, while I am not much for killing any animal for it's skin, I would have to say that the delicate balance of nature has been put off by overfishing on one side, and protection of a mass fish eating species on the other side.

Just like any other "cull", except the methods are a little less than nice.

This coming from the guy who pointed out the "toy gun" found in an elementary school. Why do you have two standards?
