$2.4 Trillion? That's the kind of big government the left loves. Why do the Dems hate Bush so much? Because he is religious? Because he retaliates with military force? Weird. He sure isn't a Conservative.

Because of the Patriot Act and social conservatism. And we don't like where he's spending the money.

You don't like the $400 Billion turned into $500+Billion Prescription Drug for Seniors boondoggle??? I don't like it and I'm libertarian. Conservatives don't like it. You (liberal) don't like it. Who likes it besides seniors???

And many of the seniors are finding out it's not such a great deal either. Seems some of the supplemental Medicare insurance policies have now dropped their prescription plans.

There's an interesting article in this week's TIME. Most of the top 10 most expensive drugs are for high cholesterol, high blood pressure and depression. One wonders if many of the people taking these could save $$$$ by eating right and getting non-drug therapy for depression. <_< I have a feeling that a very high number of prescriptions are being over prescribed and with the government now covering it, there's no reason for anyone to stop it.

funny how in a two party system where the voting population is split pretty much evenly down the middle, both sides can be 100% sure they are doing the right thing and that they are correct while the other side is always wrong.

its got nothing to do with facts or reality... its just a primative defensive mechanism.

basically true.

I think it boils down to flavor of Jesus worship.

Republicans tend to attract the more "conservative" Jesus lovers, Ashcroft types.

And that is never good.

Yes, and I find it more than mildly ironic.

Conservative xtian republicans hate every major leftist movement Jews have been involved in, yet they have to suck their cock for prophetic reasons.

Israel is xtian tool, it needs to exist in order to validate the xtian take on the "bible". Once Jesus comes it does not matter anymore, they have not accepted Jesus as the true savior and they will all burn in hell. Assuming evangelicals are correct in their interpretation.

I could care less so long as both sides watch their children, as well as their faith, die.

I like Israel because I hate Islam and Israel kicks the crap out of Islam every once in a while. This is also why I like the Hindus -- they smack down the muslims every once a while, too.

But I don't like giving Israel a dime.

The ONLY kudos I will give to Israel is they love their history and will protect the historical monuments to the death, although they tend to neglect any historical and archaeological evidence that stands to refute their claims.

Israel would be a great place if it were not for all the Israelis. I do not want Palestinians to control "Israel", nor do I want Zionists in control. When the Zionists are gone, then we can turn on the Palestinians.

It is far too important of a place to be controlled by zealots on either side.

God of Abraham, thats a good one.

Question.

Since the OT is replete with stories of God allowing great punishments to fall upon Israel, and Elohim is always making threats of punishment, why do people not view that current conflict in terms of it being another punishment in a long line of punishments that your loving God has bestowed up Israel? If the "God of Abraham" was on Israel's side, would he not destroy the enemies of Israel in much the same way he did countless times before?

I think its because none of you are true Jews, you are all converts. No covenant blood flows through your sullied veins.

For one thing, he cut taxes....that really ticks off most democrats. Unless you only cut the taxes on those people who make so little that they do not pay any taxes to begin with....

Problem is, that it is not their decision to make. They are stealing land with that fence. It will not last. Kind of like the Berlin wall. Its gotta come down. You know that, I know that, and the rest of the world knows that. Its just a matter of time.
And we do agree about one thing today. They will be judged on their actions.
stealing land?
by putting fence on their BORDER???

whatta you talking about, willis?

judged by WHOM?????

if they are obliterated from the face of the Earth,
I don't think they care much about "judgements" and to avoid that fate, they have to do EVERYTHING to prevent it.

"stealing land?
by putting fence on their BORDER???"

That is a very, very arguable comment. Just because they say it is their border, doesn't make it so. Its kind of like putting a settlement down in disputed land and saying its Israel. It flies in the face of justice and international opionion. Ultimately, international pressure will prevail. No country is above that kind of pressure. That is what America failed to realize last year and is only now beginning to pay the piper. And that is your tax dollars, bud.

me being withing TOP 5 taxpayers on this board,
I don't care about my tax dollars and how they are spent,
I let people who pay very little or NOTHING in taxes to worry the most about it.

As for disputes about land/border,

Serge, you losedude. The market is open, and the war is still on. You do post on a small time webmaster board and do absolutely nothing.
I actually expected more of you. You never addressed a single issue....just some malarky about masturbation or some other such useless drivel. I see now that this was a useless thread. I actually thought I was talking to someone who could defend a position.

I used to love debating politics with Russians in the Soviet Union because they were erudite politicos. Men of passion and conviction. You might remember those folks. I don't recall any one of those vodka sodden nights ever degenerating into two line poor excuses.

Its ok, Serge. You go back to making money so you can purchase a frame for your Picasso and reflect on those with the courage of their convictions.
