The Greatest Soap Opera on Earth

i used to really give my wife a hard time for watching soap operas - the scandals, the lies, the betrayals, the cheating, the love affairs all of it staged and the same story lines repeated again and again with only the names changing. it seemed really boring and repetitive.

i later realized that i am addicted to the greatest soap opera on earth -
global politics.

its the worlds longest running soap opera. 1000's of years with no end in sight. it too, is nothing but scandals, lies, betrayals, manipulation, deception, love affairs, cheating lovers, stealing, murder and a constant effort to make it all seem normal and hide the truth while everyone is deceitfully jockying for a better position to get the upper hand over others.

i am almost to the point where i am almost taping the news to watch re-runs

am i the only one?
