Cunt is a word commonly used in pornography. Adult boards are for webmasters working in pornography therefore I don't see any reason to ban it. Otherwise we should also ban all other "shocking words". I personally wouldn't call someone a cunt . But calling someone bitch, whore, slut would not look too good either on a webmaster board but that does not mean these words should be banned.

i think the story on GFY's ban on the word 'cunt' was one of the girl regulars there was being harassed by somebody on there calling her a cunt over and over, so they banned the word.

So up until a month ago, 'Oprano' was in rare company on the GFY Banned Word List, with 'Ashcroft' and 'cunt'. I think anything to do with Shawberg or his company were banned as well.

My two cents:

Jack Brownfeild, aka Stephen Michael Cohen called me a CUNT on Oprano about 100 times at least....it didn't kill me that's for sure, and it got to be a joke. I was even calling myself CUNT for awhile. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.....

CUNT is such an old-school word....but sometimes it has it's legitimate uses. It seems very Junior High to ban a word like CUNT on an adult messageboard......
