Yesterday and today the State Attorney and Esc. Co. Sheriff's offices have been searching homes in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties and have arrested the masterminds behind a series of sex Internet websites run by Ray Guhn Productions. The sites - www.cumonherface.com and www.wecumonherface.com are two attributed to Ray Guhn.

Only two arrests have been announced so far but inside sources tell IN that a third arrest was made Saturday afternoon. A warrant has been issued for a fourth suspect. They may be more pending review of the evidence found in the homes.

The two men that have been arrested are Clinton Raymond McCowen, aka Ray Guhn, of Navarre and Kevin Patrick Stevens, of Pensacola. They are charged with prostitution and producing selling and promoting obscene material over the Internet.

State Attorney Bill Eddins said McCowen and his associates, doing business as Ray Guhn Productions, brought in more than $1 million each year in sales to Internet customers who paid to view the pictures and movies. Much of the porn was made locally.

They alledgedly recruited and paid local men and women to engage in obscene sexual performances involving group activity, which were filmed and placed on the Internet for users to purchase and view. Many of the women were recruited from local restaurants and bars.

The website had over 5000 paid subscribers that paid an average of $30/month to Ray Guhn Productions.

According to a press release from Eddin's office, they also recruited and paid individuals to engage in 'Private Parties' involving the same type of activity, in which McCowen and his associates also participated.

No, they're charging them with racketeering, so the Man is pretty much saying that their entire business model is illegal. Pensacola seems to be perceiving it as nothing more than filmed prostitution. Really, if you live only a short drive to Alabama, you shouldn't even have sex privately- and if you do, you better not enjoy it.

Ok.. I've seen two posts that really talk about this Gonzo's and MikeAI's and none of em mention racketeering. From what I have read the arrests seem to be a load of crap and only appear to be about what people do every dya in this biz.. pay people to have sex in front of a camera.

The racketeering charge is standard procedure, they add it when they find 2 or more people engaged together in a criminal enterprise and they want to be nasty. Or get headlines

Courts have already ruled on paying someone for a sexual act for a public or recorded performance being different that prostitution several times, I think (not sure) that there was a supreme court case that addressed this.

Miami I have no doubt of. I thought though that Tampa has been going through quite a bit of trying to get rid of sexual businesses or at least control them quite a bit more in the past couple of years with things like their crackdown on strip clubs.

The point that some of you probably are missing is that producing porn in Florida is illegal and we have pandering laws here that view porn as the same thing as prostitution. There is only one state in the US where it's legal to produce porn and that's California. If you produce it anyplace else, you better be very low key about it and avoid anything too extreme.

Hammer? it's illegal to produce porn in florida if your paying that person to perform? or even if they volunter to perform for free? or is that a quetion for Chad?

My guess would be that if you were profitting from the content in some way, it wouldn't matter if you paid the performers or not.

I spoke to someone who is from pensacola and they said its illegal to buy porn there is none to be found. Now Im not the smartest guy in the world but that would make me say maybe not the best place for my business. Ya think.

if I remember correctly, when I lived in Pensacola (Escambia County) most porn was illegal. And alot of people took the 30 minute drive to Mobile, A.L to buy porn. It was ok as long has the person didn't buy more than 5 flicks.
if you where caught with more than 3 or 5 movies, "not sure of amount" they where arrested for distrubution of pornography. but like I said. that law was only enforced in Escambia County. Don't know about other Counties.

For the most part, Florida is not the porn friendly state that many think it is. Sure, a lot of porn is produced here, but except for Dade county which is where Miami and Fort Lauderdale are located, most areas of Florida are very conservative and the further north you go, the more obvious it becomes. A third suspect was arrested Monday in a multimillion-dollar Internet pornography operation that authorities say was based in Pensacola. Andrew Kevin Craft, 38, identified by investigators as the general manager of the Web site on which locally produced films were shown, was taken into custody at his home in the 6500 block of Memphis Avenue in Pensacola.

Like the two suspects arrested Friday, Craft was booked on a charge of racketeering -- conducting a criminal enterprise by engaging in prostitution and the manufacture and sale of obscene material. Escambia County Sheriff Ron McNesby and State Attorney Bill Eddins on Saturday announced a months-long investigation into Global Technology Productions, which did business as Ray Guhn Productions.

The business revolved around a Web site with some 5,000 subscribers who could view films featuring group sex for $30 a month, according to an affidavit. The films were made at several homes in Pensacola and Pace, at five hotels in Escambia County, along Interstate 10 and Interstate 110, in wooded areas and in other public places, said Assistant State Attorney Russ Edgar, who led the investigation.

Edgar estimated that about 100 local men and women participated in the films. He would not identify any of those people or say how the film- makers located them. The two men arrested Friday were: Web site owner Clinton Raymond McCowen, 45, also known as Ray Guhn, who resides in the 1900 block of Rue La Fontaine in Navarre. Producer and Web site technician Kevin Patrick Stevens, 36, of the 9700 block of Fowler Avenue in Pensacola. The affidavit says a confidential informant told investigators that Craft solicited her to make movies for Ray Guhn Productions.

In addition, the affidavit says the informant also said she was paid to have sex with Craft, McCowen and another associate during "private parties'' at which they would determine whether women would be good performers.The informant reported making as much as $1,000 for a movie.

Another confidential source told investigators that Craft, known to her as Jim, was responsible for recruiting models, finding locations for shoots, making the movies and paying the models, the affidavit says. Craft was in the Escambia County Jail on Monday evening under $75,000 bond. McCowen and Stevens bonded out Saturday. Edgar said more arrests are expected in "the next several days or several weeks.'

IMHO the USA is not a free country. I live in Canada and have lived all over the world and I gotta say, if you think that the US is a free country, you should really think again. I never worry about what I say or do. I never worry about my civil rights. I just assume I have them and I do.
You guys in the US have never really lived in a free country so have never experienced the joy of real freedom. Sure I get pissed off with the taxes I pay. I get pissed off with the the government and losing the Stanley Cup to Americans. But all in all, going to jail for what I do or say or worrying about paying for a doctor if I break my leg are not part of my reality.
Why is it that in the US there is always a struggle for free speech? I just don't get it.

Honestly, I used to feel free. I used to be fairly patriotic - not crazy-ass "don't burn my flag" patriotic, but I used to be somewhat proud of the U.S. But this monkey-fucking regime we have in place right now as torn away all the old veils that made America seem pretty and hopeful.
