Despite the pang of sadness I felt afterwards, I loved the quote, too. It was brave and witty. I do so appreciate wit.

There's worse things one can do with one's life than create a legacy of pleasure and adoration for countless fans...not to mention being regarded as one of the absolute best at what one chose to do.

He died way too young.

RIP, George...but always hear the applause....

When I first saw this I had to go do some research to find out who he was.

Got very confused because of all the references to what a great Football player he was but couldn't find him on any of the NFL rosters

Then I realized that he was a SOCCER player.
