Last time I checked was a few years back when a friend invited me to sit in on a course on "miracles" at the Unity church here in KC (you talk about a cult....lololol)

Anyway, they went on about how Jesus said this and Jesus said that. I asked why they were attributing this stuff to Jesus when it had originally come from Buddha (or before him for all I really know) and they informed me that Buddha had studied Jesus. They didn't like having the fact that Buddha was here about 600 years earlier then Jesus pointed out to them for some reason.

Tithing is worship. It has always been more than just a tax. Tithing is recognition and worship of the One Who created and actually owns all. Worshiping God in a prescribed manner has existed since the Garden of Eden. Cain and Abel knew the correct way to worship God, but one of them chose not to worship that way. The correct way involved giving up something they owned in recognition of God in a prescribed manner. Worship cost them something then, as true worship always does.


If we do not worship God with our money, we do not really worship God. Job, Abraham and his descendants, and others living before the giving of the Law, knew that worshiping God involved sacrificing of their substance.


Any Christian who loves the Lord should desire to give everything to Him. We can and should give more than ten percent (a tithe). Tithing is just a starting place -- not a maximum limit. The tithe is like a birthday gift to a wonderful spouse, just a token reminder of their importance to you. Actually, they deserve much more -- more than it would be possible to give. Jesus is like that. He deserves more than you could possibly give. Tithing is only a reminder to you, and to Jesus, of the intent of your heart, and the place of importance He has in your life.

I think it is a fine and noble idea, myself.

I consider myself to be a spiritual person. I talk to my God most nights. Doing so eases my burdens and helps ground me.

If that makes me something that is subject to ridicule, so be it. I've been ridiculed for many things.

I'm not a holy person either, but overall, I am a good person. In that I mean, I am kind of heart when I can put my fears and such aside. I don't hate people, I try very hard not to take harmful actions against others, and I try to give to those less fortunate than I.

And I really don't do those things because of heaven, karma, or anything of that nature.

I do them because it makes me feel in harmony with my God.

I think there are many Christians...and many more spirtual based non Christians...who would welcome such a thing, Nick.

Ages ago I had the idea of opening a church. At the time , It was tongue in cheek and nigh on blasphemous and probably illegal lol

However the thought has always been in the back of my mind (Many of you may know that in my youth I attended a religious school and attended church everyday.)

For some time now I have honestly been thinking of some way to "give back" and this feeling has been further kindled by the spate of disasters around the world.

That said , I am not a very religious man within the strict terms of many of the orgainised churches , but I do consider myself a Christian.

I have been bored with and pretty much to all intents and purposes out of the adult business for some time now.But thankfully the adult business allowed me to hone certain talents.

I have been doing a great deal of research into this mattrer and thus It is my intent to open an online christian forum , manage it and garner traffic to it and orgainse representives of various Christian orgainisations to participate in it.

I am not a minister , however I can bring the adminstrative and management structure and most importantly...traffic to it

And yes it will earn money , hopefully a great deal because if it does it will mean a great deal of money can go toward nondenominational acts of charity and good works.
