Ant thanks for the info, I'm at the point of getting both btw, if you're a relatively new shooter as you say, go try a CZ 75. you'll be amazed at the performance for that price, most guys in the US never touch CZ's and don't know what they're missing. I carry .45's as well, but keep a CZ75D compact in the car.
