Well a FUCKING men!

Ive been busy partner. So Ive let Newton drive the train and ring the bell.
We have the pending new retooling coming up so Ive been trying to help out with that as well as some goodies for Florida. Thanks to all of you that have been busy.

I think its important that we stay focused on this being a business board. I appreciate people posting to keep things rolling but its my hope that the board does not turn into a ANS clone where they all talk about cookie recipes and kids birthdays.

Theres a lot of shit stirring in this business and Oprano is known for discussing it, picking it a part and resolving it.

Probably because until recently, the gay market was looked down upon by many straight companies, think about for a second, pornkings, lightspeed, maxcash, silvercash, ars, siccash, non of them really cared about the gay side of the industry until all their shitty str8 sites started losing money, then, all of a sudden, they realized there was $$$$ to be made in gay

Couple that in with the GFY redneck factor and you should be able to come up with an answer, once bitten, twice shy

Although to be fair, there are a heap of str8 companies who did embrace the gay industry many years ago and thy are now firmly planted

Anyone who didn't get the needed id/releases got fucked and didn't exercise good business acumen
I did post some concern over the safety factor for models

As for the porn business, we all know for the most part it's a fraction of what it was. That being said it's still hard to walk away from the income. Easy money for a few hours work a day and a base of income to start/support other projects
At one time I'd thought I'd be out by now at another I'd thought I'd stay to the bitter end

Oprano has new blood and will take the direction most profitable and beneficial. Sad but I only get to read a fraction of the time I used to due to real world projects

Very much looking forward to morphing into Willie Wonka in 6 hours.

Ill agree that the current business model has been exploited to the max. Been no major changes in traffic and billing to exploit.

I think the days of pissing are so over. It was interesting when the whole thing was new, but now...either you have business or important issues to discuss...or you just want and need a bit of human contact.

Back in the day, a good snipe-fest could go on for hours, if not days. What did it all accomplish? Tired fingers and bleary eyes. I doubt seriously anyone on the adult 'net said "I want to do business with this person, he/she has such a large vocuabulary of obscene adjectives to hurl at other webmasters."

On a personal note, my own tiny business might be helped a bit by my posting, as webmasters can read and say "well, she types in complete sentences and can spell most of the words." That sort of thing can be accomplished whether I'm saying good morning or tossing in an opinion on some "business issue."

My prediction and opinion is that adult is going to roll up into some very large corporate entities. Many industries have a birth, growth, puberty and maturation period. We're in our pubescent stage right now. We're not a boy, not quite yet a man.

It will become larger and stronger on a much smaller scale. Leaders will emerge who will push the industry on. Opportunities for mom and pop shots will become much different. Many small budget startups will not be able to grip the constant changes that the government will require.

The industry will only get larger, but it will evolve much as most industries do. Sex is a part of life that's not going away. Curiosity isn't going anywhere either.

My prediction and opinion is that adult is going to roll up into some very large corporate entities. Many industries have a birth, growth, puberty and maturation period. We're in our pubescent stage right now. We're not a boy, not quite yet a man.

It will become larger and stronger on a much smaller scale. Leaders will emerge who will push the industry on. Opportunities for mom and pop shots will become much different. Many small budget startups will not be able to grip the constant changes that the government will require.

The industry will only get larger, but it will evolve much as most industries do. Sex is a part of life that's not going away. Curiosity isn't going anywhere either.
The stigma of being “net porn” taints us even before most surfers logon for the first time – too many scams have been publicized and surfers are smarter than they used to be…. I’ll take my chances at making money from dabbling in porn but my priority is mainstream adult!
