I've watched pro bodybuilders work out and no one ever touches that kinda weight without wraps and a belt and spotters even on a machine. 805 Lbs is more than impressive. You're a strong sumbitch...but being strong and crippled doesn't do anyone any good.

I'm not gonna kick you when yer down at all so don't take this like that, but for shit shakes...use wraps and belts in the future and have spotters on either side of the machine if you still wanna play with that weight on presses and hack squats - with that kinda weight, yer knee's can only take so much.

Go heavy...go heavy on squats - with a spotter and a rack. 805 on a leg press to failure makes no sense.
fuck 805 is too much. I rep at around 600. i wouldn't think of going over that because of my knee, and the fact that i most assuredly would have muscle failure at over 700.

Thanks everyone. I even appreciate Aeon chiming in.

I am obsessive, to a fault. As promised a long time ago, pic taken funny enough, the day before I hurt myself.

Damn Anthony, glad to hear you're going to be O.K.

That is some serious weight you are lifting, I'm about ready to start on my Bow Flex here soon... It's amazing when you star working ut how great you feel within a month of working out 4 times a week lifting.

Unfortunately last time i lifted I was 18, LOL .... Since then most my heavy lifting was bottles of beer and rolling kegs in and out of my bar

At least you'll have more free time to .... work now for a bit lol ... so at least your pocket book should get larger

My sophomore year in college I used to work out with a friend of mine from the dorm. We each weighed about 150 pounds. A couple of real pencil necks. I could bench press about 205 and thought that was pretty good for my size...

The first time I worked out with this guy he asked me to spot him bench pressing 340. I was like "what?!?!?! what the fuck am I gonna do to help?!?!?!" hahaha

Glad things turned out not to be major, Ant!!!

But like everyone has said, take it easy and err on the side of caution.

Anthony... this means you have to stop the rough gay sex for at least ten days!

I figured I'd wait to hear the news before commenting, Anthony. I'm glad to hear you'll recover, well, as long as you're smart about it..and, you're a smart guy. Don't expect healing to be immediate..these things take a long time....

Since you already have pretty strong back muscles, there's a good probability that it was to your advantage...so, good for you.

That sciatic pain reminds me of a high pitched drill the dentists use, screaming all the way down.....beating to a rhythm of its own...those cortisone shots....ow.....

The only thing I can add to this is : AVOID SURGERY. Once you get on that surgical merry go round, you never get off.

Glad the news is positive.
