At the end of the day, it goes to show only that the electoral college system ends up giving weight to some voters, and taking it away from others. Popular vote would have settled this a long time ago (not the way I want it settled, but I really don't care).
Your forefathers created a funky system, and now you are paying for it.
They really should pass a law called the "Provide Equal Election Results" law (PEER). In that law, it would be illegal for any state to announce it's results until all states and signalled that they are complete. At that point, all results are released simultaniously. That would avoid this bizarre focusing on one or two states.

Gee, anyone who would spend two minutes checking would realize that voting form prime minister in canada would be difficult, as the system is not set up in that manner. We don't pretend to be actually voting for a leader.
