CNN projecting

Bush 34 electoral Kerry 3 with 6 states polls closed and 4 states projected

CNN projects Bush wins in Indiana, Kentucky and Georgia, and a Kerry win in Vermont.

South Carolina not projected yet

Almighty Colin 11-02-2004 06:56 PM

Should have some early results from Ohio in a few minutes.

Yeppirs, last Wednesday...

It was great :yowsa:

Almighty Colin 11-02-2004 07:35 PM

Still waiting for the first surprise or key battleground state decision.

sarettah 11-02-2004 07:49 PM

Interesting that right now, Kerry is projected at the most electorl votes but has less of the actual vote...

Giant Douche 56% actual 66 electoral
Turd Sandwich 43% actual 77 electoral

and Ralphie just popped 1% of the actual

Wow, this is great. Every state as expected so far and ... Kerry ahead in PA, Bush ahead in FL and nearly tied in OH. Could be interesting until the last moment.

Yes, earlier I said "I'm just saying if Kerry has those kind of numbers in the exits in that many states once the polls close there is a very good chance he will win."

Caveat included. Those "exits" were at 4pm ET, 1pm PT. - probably based on half a days data.

BTW, Every state so far has gone with the RealClearPolitics.com average. The average of Gallup/Zogby/etc has been quite accurate.

Almighty Colin 11-02-2004 09:29 PM

Bush doing better overall than Kerry in the battleground states right now.

I'm saying if you use good methodology the error in your results will be predictable. (correct to within x% y% of the time) . An exit poll conducted halfway through the day is
no good because the sample cannot by definition be a random sample of the entire vote.

The usual drivel...... :agrin:

Ok, Cnn has douche at 193 and turd at 112, but I have it douche at 193 turd at 194 because I am giving Kerry California by default, Pennsylvania because it looks like it will go Kerry and Minnesota because it looks again like it will go that way.

I am still looking through all the damn numbers while I try to watch Daily show...lol...

Almighty Colin 11-02-2004 09:54 PM

Here's a close one. Bush ahead by less than 500 in New Hampshire right now.

sarettah 11-02-2004 09:56 PM

Al Sharpton on Daily Show a few minutes ago "If Bush wins tonight it will be the first time he has been elected Pres".....

rotflmfao

I don't like Sharpton much at all, but he can be funny

Almighty Colin 11-02-2004 10:04 PM

Does one vote matter? New Hampshire is trying to prove it does.

Bush 155,161
Kerry 155,152

Mike AI 11-02-2004 10:07 PM

Bush is looking very good in Florida!!

North West Florida is very conservative.....

sarettah 11-02-2004 10:14 PM

My prediction for the rest of this.... Ohio will not end up mattering (unless it comes in earlier then others, not trying to call the order it will come in here)

Starting at the 193 - 112 count it is at right now

Bush 193
Fl 27 220
MI 17 237
WI 10 247
AZ 10 257
NM 6 262
CO 9 271

The rest won't matter.........

Almighty Colin 11-02-2004 10:21 PM

CNN has called PA for Kerry.

sharky 11-02-2004 10:35 PM

CNN gives CA to Kerry. Fox still not posted

Almighty Colin 11-02-2004 10:36 PM

There are a lot of votes not counted yet in Ohio in counties going Kerry's way so far.

Almighty Colin 11-02-2004 10:40 PM

Kerry up strongly in Michigan now. Detroit must have come in. This election is going to be CLOSE.

sarettah 11-02-2004 10:41 PM

Don't know why they are holding off on calling Florida. Bush has it by 300,000 votes with 93% of the count in.

I've been looking through the counties list and it doesn't look like there are 300,000 votes left to go Kerry's way

Damn, CNN web site shows Kerry with 54% of Michigan. That would definitely change what I put up before....

lol...I was calling it at about 7% of the count in...lol...

So, lets see, pull the 17 ev's from Bush for MI and then Ohio starts to matter a whole lot more

I think there's something like 250k absentee ballots in FL to count still. That will take a few days if it comes down to it.

Republicans will win absenetee - they are mailed out based on party affiliation, they already pretty much know the turn out for that.
