do the french know anything?
no, they got it all wrong...after the bottle is open-
\it should be drank fully,
wine doesn't taste the same the NEXT day, 10 days is ridiculous

the bread in France is one of the best in the world....
French have an interesting custom:
they leave bread crumbs at the dinner table as a sign toi a hostess that the bread was crunchy and REAL good!
I read, that if only a glass or two has been drank from the bottle, it will not oxidize for a week to ten days, but if the wine in the bottle is only about a glass or two left, then it will oxidize right away like you said as well Serge.
does this hold true for all types of wine, Reds, Whites, roses, etc.....
or is it different for the different varieties. does brand or how it was made alter this process in any way?
what about if you vaccuum seal it instaed of recorcking the bottle?

Joe, there is ONE problem with me,
I ALWAYS tell the truth when it comes to wines...
;-)))
the other day,
the owner of the Italian restaurant informed us that we finished his supply of Gaja Estate and he only has 1996 Terrabianca Riserva, and it costs more...but,
if we don't like it,
he'd take it back.
I told him:
I ALWAYS tell the truth when it comes to wine...and I did
;-))))
