Rooster Cogburn - great interplay between Wayne and Kathrine Hepburn
That's a great movie - watched it recently on one of the classic movie stations. Not a big Wayne fan myself ... I acutally liked him more in a whole series of B-flick seafarer movies than I did in most of the big-budget films he made later.
Sykk ... please tell me you are talking about the original Mummy, not the one made in the 90s.

Nope, I think the same of some of the above movies - even some of the "classics". Just personal taste.

Coen Brothers rule!!! Millers Crossing is amazing IMHO
fantastic.... great irish mob movie before irish mob movies were cool.
There manipulation of noir and oddball comedy, with subpop references and snappy dialogue, along with the most memorable juxtapositioning of themes make their movies so memorable and rewatchable
Trainspotting
American Pyscho
Ichi The Killer (japanese)
Groundhog Day (something ya just like a sucky movie!)
Brazil
I don't tend to be very mainstream.

Originally posted by SykkBoy@Apr 29 2004, 06:29 PM My list constantly changes...but 5 that are always in my top 5, 10, 15, etc.:
Glengarry Glen Ross
A Clockwork Orange
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
O Brother Where Art Thou (this has quickly become one of my favorites with repeat viewings)
Bad Taste
I'd have to try to fit The Exorcist in there somewhere too, but I've been enjoying the repeated viewings of OBWAT too much.....
Can't believe someone else thought of clockwork orange! (must be a wyoming thing lol)
Mine are:
Uncommon Valor
Frequency
Aristocats (gotta have one disney movie!)
Clockwork Orange
Tie between: Sound of Music, Grease, Hello Dolly, Oliver (the original one) & Ghost (chick flicks, I know, I know - and I'm a sucker for musicals)
Agree top 5 is impossible... Besides, you know my top choice Vick... lol...
Here are some that haven't been mentioned... Aside from any adversion one might have to 'spaghetti westerns'; there isn't any on list not worth owning...
Closetland (tough to find, but nice mindfuck movie)
Great Black and Whites:
Witness for the Prosecution
Raisin in the Sun
The Caine Muntiny
Maltese Falcon
To Kill a Mockingbird
