Serge, I am glad you helped expand my horizons....

The museum was great. When my parents get into town in a few weeks I plan on taking them!

I went to the Dali Museum about a year ago. It is certainly interesting!
The guy was a nut job though...

I'd like to go back some day

Serge - I am really getting into art. I am thinking about taking some art-history classes. And maybe some drawing/painting lesssons.

Have you seen this work - Artist Bosch Hieronymus (Garden of earthly delight) - I would think that Dali was influenced by him. Not a great picture of it but you get the idea - http://www.ibiblio.org/wm/paint/auth/bosch/delight/

That painting is actually in 3 pieces - left right and center. I really like the right side.

here are some more of his not so famous pieces.

http://www.dimensional.com/~randl/bosch.htm

pretty amazing considering he was 1450 - 1520 ish... about 400 years before Dali

I know him and he is one of my favorit Dutches...

The original is in Dresden, in a very small museum...

I only saw it in the album,
but...what a vission/fantasy!

Dali wasn't influenced by him, though, but rather by Picasso, Matisse and Cezanne, especially in early days before he becane Bona Fide D A L I

The woman I live with a big dali fan. I took her there last month. I admit that I wasn't much of a Dali fan, at first but as I walked through the gallery and read more about his work I was impressed with his transitions and affiliations.

Hey, I still have my connection available for getting you a superb deal on a Dali. I already set up one lucky webmaster with the Dali he has wanted for years. You could be next.
