Probably the DNS of the Cable provider... we run into the same thing around here with certain sites... they seem to come and go....
Strange thing is, a couple of us have the same provider ( Comcast ) and we can ( cannot ) access different sites from each other... |

Billy...
Like FB said, it is probably in your cable provider, but there is one thing you *might* can do to help it. Click "Start", then "Run...", in the dialog box type "cmd" and hit "OK". You will get an old fashioned Command Prompt. At the prompt type the following and hit enter: ipconfig /flushdns This will flush your DNS resolver cache and might just fix it. If not, you can call your cable provider and beg/plead with them to flush their DNS....but it is probably not going to work --T |

Greg I remember YEARS ago calling Tony when we had a problem with a server.. I got worried when I heard him say "wheres the screwdriver" and the server was in another part of the city : )

You may also want to look at your hosts file.
Could be lmhosts, lmhosts.sam, or just hosts. It should be in your windows/system windows/system32 or a sub folder of one of those directories. It should also have an explanation and some examples in it. Last edited by Hubby at Dec 29 2003, 09:04 PM |
