You said that we are all sort of a study group kinda thingamabob ( am paraphrasing this). So my question is this;
would you show a transcript of all the threads you have been on over the last 4 days to one of your professors to back up any kind of argument ou might make?

Just curious

and part 2, would you tell them which one was you in them?

I guess, but I have no argument per se. It would be more as just an example. I have mentioned it already, and while its not the only reason, I love ethnomethodology.

A favoured technique among ethnomethodologists is to disrupt temporarily the world which people take for granted and see how they react. The point of this is to expose background assumptions that have been accepted as reality for a long time.

But it is not that I do it on purpose for the most part, its just a lot of people find the way I think offensive. Which is fascinating in and of itself. To me anyway.

Would they know it is me? Without a doubt.

If I drug this into class and made it a power point presentation, people would be howling.

wow, I have absolutely no reply to that whatsoever. I guess it is the fat lazy American coming out in me.
I can say this much, it saddens me that there are a group of you that would find all these discussions so funny. It appears to me although you proclaim to study real life, you dont have much of a grasp of the real people who live. May be redundant, but it is something I think bares repeating.

C'mon. The thread about the Ramones was entertaining. It started as an intellectual debate and turned into pics of gaping asses, threats of violence, knives with names on them, and people bopping each other in the nose.

Anyone would find that funny except for the people who took it all seriously.
