Carrie, I think your desire to quit for your pregnancy is great.
I'd seek out a few more opinions on the affects of Wellbutrin on pregnant women, since you've gotten two different opinions on it would be my only advice. Yes, smoking during pregnancy does cause some problems, but it's not likely to cause problems for your child should he or she someday decide to snowboard.

Are you saying a friend of mine who had severe respritory problems known to have been brought on by his moms smoking is a lie?
Id like to see you tell him that to his face.
his lungs never formed correctly due to moms nictonin, whether you accept it or not.

I was never a big smoker, but I found myself having a few everyday for almost 6 months, id go thru maybe 1.5-2 packs a week. Been 7 days strong, no cravings...
every time I see someone smoking a cigarette, I realize how disgusting it is. Good luck!
Biggy good going!! Keep it up!!

I have noticed this too. One time I sent Tony a link to a thread on this board and when he clicked it he was logged in as me. Possible security issue?
Now back to the topic at hand...
Yeah, and then since he was "me", he logged out and back as him and so when I posted, it said I was logged on as "him". And we were on two completely different computers and neither of us has used the other's computer to post on this board.
Odd. I'll alert my boyfriend/lover/etc., Gonzo to the problem while we're in bed tonight. (and if you haven't been following Confucy's accusations, then I apologize for the confusion, hehehe. )
And Fletch - if you're going to attack Carrie for smoking while she's pregnant, shouldn't you attack me for making my kid smoke AND eat what was left of the pack I caught him with? :P

Damn, woman, you seem to have more partners than I could fit on that chocolate brown sectional sofa I had in the 70s ...

I've been hearing so much lately about google cutting out spam - pah!
Try typing "zyban pregnancy" into google (no quotes) and see how many pages you get through before you get tired of looking for a relevant article!
PD I went over to Babycenter and WebMD finally and found a few notes about it here and there, all saying that Zyban is safe. I'll still get another opinion, though.
Today will be lollipop and Sharpie's Sports Bottle day.
Jolly Rancher makes some of the best-tasting lollipops, big huge square things that you can wedge in the roof of your mouth between your teeth and just slobber on for half an hour. (yummmmmy)

Honestly, the Zyban might help, but you would probably be better off in the long run to use behavioral quitting.. As in replacing the bad behavior (smoking) with a new one. And make sure to have a stress-free zone you can go to when things get rough. I know with kids it can be a huge stress sometimes, but have a room you can go to for a second, take a few deep breaths and calm down, breathe your way through the craving. It really does help.

Carrie - Make sure you brush your teeth after that lolipop........
Food taste in your mouth seems to bring on that behavioural thing of wanting to smoke after meals. Brush your teeth or use mouth wash often. That is why water is so good - it doesn't leave the food taste.
I found this on http://www.webmd.com - there is lot's of stuff there you might want to read if you haven't been there.
"Bupropion (the idgredient if Zyban) is in the FDA pregnancy category B. This means that it is unlikely to harm an unborn baby. Do not take bupropion without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant"
Give beer to those who are perishing, wine to those who are in anguish; let them drink and forget their poverty and remember their misery no more." - Proverbs 31:6-7
