First place I saw duct tape used to solve every problem imaginable was on McGyver.... Since then, I have used it many times, around the home, camping, hell..even in computer repair.....

Man Uses Duct Tape for Bear Attack Wounds

WASILLA, Alaska - A hunter attacked by a grizzly bear on a remote trail said he used duct tape to bind his bite wounds, then rode an all-terrain vehicle to his pickup truck and drove himself to a hospital.

Bill Murphy said the Sept. 17 attack happened after he surprised a grizzly cub and its mother on a trail about 50 miles northeast of Anchorage where he was hunting for moose and sheep.

Murphy grabbed his rifle but before he could raise it, the mother bear pinned him face-down.

It then clamped her jaws around his right shoulder and started shaking him like a rag. He said he felt teeth pressing against his skin, then a pop as they sliced through.

At some point, the bear let go, then stood over Murphy, panting and drooling onto his head. All he could think about was a bear attack over the summer near the Russian River where a man was bitten on the face and blinded.

Finally, the bear moved away. Murphy said he got up, planning to shoot the bear, but it had broken his rifle.

Murphy said he wrapped duct tape around his shoulder and cut up a cloth bag to wrap around his thigh. He hiked out to his four-wheeler, rode about 15 miles back to his pickup truck and drove a half hour to Valley Hospital in Palmer.

Duct tape is your friend. It saved my life as well after an accident with a table saw where I almost bled to death.

Duct Tape is one of the miracle inventions of our time.... it fixes damn near anything....

cept a leaky gas line on a boat.... dont ask...

You just gotta use the right technique (used this a couple of years ago on a laeky gas line in an old fiatr...got us home ...about 1000 miles)

First wrap the leak in aluminum foil, tightly...... Cover the entire area getting wet, plus a couple of inches either side.....

Wrap the entire thing tightly with the duct tape......

Voila....working gas line.....

Duct tape also makes a good oil cap..... I was on a trip to the ozarks, stopped for gas and checked the oil.... head on out... a few miles down the road I get an oil light.... Pull over and check... I had forgotten to put the fucking oil cap back on...Oil every fucking where in the engine compartment...

Duct tape !!!! I put one piece facing upwards (so the glue would not get in the oil... Then taped that down to the valve cover.... Got me through the weekend and back home..... Was a bitch to get off when I got the new oil cap.........

Duct tape rules! I used it on my last fishing trip to secure line guides, and also to keep my transducer line connected on my fish finder. It has millions of uses. Not sure if anyone has seen the Red Green show, but he constantly uses duct tape.

BTW - Red Green is an awesome show!
