Yeah, she used to pee from the excitement of us coming home. Then I read some advice on a website, followed it, and she stopped immediately.

The advice was that she was submissively peeing. My towering over her - just by standing - was causing her to submit to me by peeing.

What I do now when I come home is open the door and get down on one knee a few feet from her so she comes to me. I don't get excited or raise my voice. I don't pet her on the head (submission) but rather hold out my hand and let her lick it. I also stopped scolding her for peeing.

Within just a few days of starting this she stopped.

Interesting colin!
We have a Yorkie as well. When she was younger she used to get VERY excited with people around and pee everywhere. At one party we had , Philip from Insite can vouch for this, she jumped from one arm of the couch to the other, all the while peeing in the air. Of course everyone she jumped over was peed on!
