Star Wars Episode III will have Chewbacca in it.
Where's Zebra? He probably already has a bootleg copy of the screenplay. May, 2005. Slackers.

May 2005??? ACK!!!!
I still have to give kudos to LOTR producers for giving us a new flick every year at the holidays. GREAT idea - brilliant! No more bitching about "when is Part XX coming out??" We KNOW when to expect it. Smart idea with the release of the DVDs as well...gives us enough time ellapsed for the highs and the lows surrounding the film, owning it at home, etc...and time to get excited about the next dose. Matrix? As much as I like that they are doing II in May and III in November, I think it's TOO close. Makes me wonder if it's shit and they know it otherwise why release so close together? The IMAX versions should be cool - thinking about waiting for II until the IMAX release...if I can hold out that long that is... |

Unlike most people I'm not excited one bit about the new Matrix movies at all. Always thought the first movie was WAYYYY overrated!! I'm looking forward to X-Men 2 http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/x2/ , Leauge of Extraordinary Gentlemen http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/lxg/ (best trailer I have seen in AGES!!), S.W.A.T. http://www.apple.com/trailers/columbia/swat/ , Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/to...hecradleoflife/ , and The Hulk http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/th...onal/large.html
Bunch of other good films coming out but those are can't miss films over the summer. |

A bootleg copy of Episode III ALREADY? Jeez, I wish.
I have a buddy doing concept art though.. maybe I can find out a few tidbits. I heard they already did a movie-quality CGI version of the huge battle that takes place in the first 20 minutes of the film. Once they got the camera angles and pacing timed right, it's just a matter of actually shooting it for real with actors. George Lucas may have slipped a little in his storytelling, but his technology is way ahead of everyone. He filmed the first major all-digital movie and now I hear tons of other directors are vowing to never shoot film again. James Cameron is one of them. |

The movie I'm most looking forward to this summer probably won't even be shown in the States
http://br-new.jp/trailer.html the trailer doesn't excite me as much as I'd hoped, but I love the plotline... anyone who hasn't seen the first "Battle Royale"...find it however you can someone once asked me what I would do with all my porn money if I retired....um, my porn money? I'd buy a bicycle (no training wheels though, those are luxuries) but if I had some extra wealth...I'd be working my ass off to bring these obscure foriegn movies that get made into shitty Americanized versions to the States to be enjoyed in all their original splendor...of course most Americans would grow impatient trying to actually follow a story or be bothered to read subtitles, so the ventrue would probably lose money...but ah, what a labor of love btw, if you can find a copy, check out "Dark Water" from the same team who brought the original "Ringu" to Japanese cinema...I caught it on VCD...very good and will no doubt be made into an Americanized version that will (hopefully) be good but still not carry the punch of the original....(like "The Ring") Last edited by SykkBoy at Apr 29 2003, 01:29 AM

Yup, you heard me right. OVERRATED!!! I LOVE Sci-fi movies and I enjoyed The Matrix but feel as a movie it was just overrated. It was more about the special effects than the movie itself. The story was above average but nothing spectacular.

Hard to beleive Kill Bill is only Tarantino's 4th film.
Resevouir Dogs Pulp Fiction Jackie Brown Kill Bill He did a story in Four Rooms so that kinda makes it 4.25 Plus he had acted in a few movies. From Dusk till Dawn, Little Nicky, Desperado. That kinda makes him a little more well known. Kill Bill should be an interesting flick. Uma looks scrumptious in it. What is really funny is if you look at IMDB.com you'll see Quentin's first Hollywood exposure was being on several episodes of The Golden Girls Last edited by Zebra at Apr 30 2003, 09:21 AM |

I gotta say though that the Matrix is what finally inspired us to get with the times and purchase our first DVD Player. LOTR got us to finally get the whole home theater bit going....wonder what it's going to take for me to finally "justify" that wide screen I've been eyeing? I hate spending money on "ME" - as a mom there's always a million things the kids need more. But...a good movie wears me down every time. lol Wonder what it will be?
