Okay, Colin is craving action....soooooo
I'm a leftie. Have been my whole life. Who else here is in this elite club? And I really do mean elite. Only 8 - 10% of the world's population are Southpaws. Here's an interesting (and very true) article I found on lefties: http://www.kstatecollegian.com/stories/100...ingsworth.shtml Famous lefties? http://www.indiana.edu/~primate/left.html From US Presidents to actors and writers to athletes. Now, when I had my first child I wasn't sure if he was going to take on my left-handedness. I bought a book called 'The Left-Handed Kids Book' or some such. I can't find it in my bookshelves right now, but the idea of the book was to make leftie kids more comfortable and proud of their 'leftness'. It states that the percentage of lefties in high profile jobs way surpass the 8 - 10% they represent in the world population. Example: Astronauts. Apparently the percentage of left-handed astronauts is quite large. Also, is it true that lefties are more creative, emotional, and caring? What do you think? |
