How would you best describe yourself? Sorry I left out all the strange little parties. Feel free to vote even if you're not US-based. I'm curious.

The Libertarians need to convert Bill Gates or some other billionaire in order to fund their candidates. I could see a ton of centrist Republicans and Democrats joining the party if they knew what it was really about. Right now people look at it as the legalize dope party which is a shame. I voted for the Libertarian candidate for governor and I looked up the election results. Out of 60,000 votes in my county he got 501. Quite sad considering he was the best candidate.

Well, I would say that the Libertarian Party is the closest platform to most of my beliefs as to how gov't should be run but some of the platform is too extreme. A vote for the Libertarian Party is a wasted vote anyway.

I could never vote for a Libertarian candidate as I think they would reduce the military budget too much.

The Libertarian Party doesn't need more money - it needs a better name. I suggest the "Leave me the Fuck Alone Party. "Libertarian" is an awful name. Sounds too much like liberal and that loses a lot of votes right off. I don't think most voters could give a fair description of the Libertarian Platform.

ulfie, it won't help...
Soros was behind legalising pot in Nevada...
proposition didn't go thru, despite his multi million support...

sykkboy pointed out that there is a huge Mormon population in LV. I never knew that which is why it's always good to know the locals. Probably wasn't the best place to fight the battle. I still believe the Libertarians could gain ground if they picked their battles wisely and had major funding.

I tend to classify myself as a Libertarian. Yes, some of the platform is a little extreme, but no more so than the Democratic or Republican party (as we all know they can all be a little extreme).

I agree with ulfie...they need to recruit some money.

Colin, I like to waste my vote. Maybe its the anarchist in me, or the rebel. But if you get enough wasted votes together sometimes you get an upset, or at least make people think outside of the box.
