This kid is playing extremely well, easily just as, if not better than Vick, and yet Vick is the one who gets all the ink.

Pennington is a better QB right now then Vick, but Vick is probably the best athlete in the NFL right now.

When he runs it is like a man playing with boys on the field. This will not last forever, if he keeps having to run he will get hurt. Vick needs to work on his passing, QB skills to survive in the NFL for the long haul - ask Kordell.

the media does Vick though.

The only ink Vick will be getting this weekend is off of the turf on Heinz field.

What's all this talk about me :P

actually I don't know if it was because Vick's thumb and shoulder were bothering him but the Raven's did seem to have a scheme that worked against him

Dropping into zone coverage and having a "spy" (player assigned to follow/mirror) for Vick and changing the spy on different plays, even with Vick getting a lot of time to throw he didn't have a good day against the Raven's and threw his first interception of the year

Vick's stats for last Sunday were 12/24 for 136 yards, no TD's, 1 Pick, 3 sacks and only 27 yards rushing

I really don't think blitzing Vick is a good choice as when he gets outside with no containment he is the most dangerous

anyway he still is an incredible athlete and is still learning - and I'll never been a fan of big running QB's like Vick, McNabb and Culpepper - where is Dan Fouts when you need him?

and MikeAI is 100% correct about the education of running QB's - for them to last in the NFL they have to learn to be QB's - much more than a throwing runner

The career path of the big running QB's is a few sucessful years then an injury and then they have to learn to be a QB if they want to stay in the league

Randall Cunningham made the transistion (or back further Roger Staubach), it is where McNair is now and where Culpepper will be soon

back to subject - I'd say Vick is better - because of his upside - but time will tell

That is once thing I like about Aaron Brooks - he sees himself as a traditional QB. One that passes first... Luckily Aaron can run pretty well when he has to.

Long haul I would prefer Brooks to Vick... but I would love Vick as a wide receiver or running back.
