Scary Article

[Bama]

This article has a couple of flaws in it - most in this 1 paragraph.
Where he says:

Even if they were located, they have autodetonation mechanisms in case something or someone gets close. Even an electromagnetic pulse is not capable of deactivating them." The bombs allegedly cannot be detected because "they are enveloped in thick layers of lead". They could be detonated "by various methods - cellphone call, radio frequency, seismic shock or by their regressive clock". Had he said mercury/barometric switches, I'd have given him a tiny amount more of "knowing what I'm talking about" credibility. There is a HUGE difference between a bomb blowing up and a nuclear device detonating.

If the bomb are encased in lead to prevent detection - then that goes both ways. The bomb won't be able to detect motion (by someone being "too close") to it and certainly cellphones and radio frequencies aren't going to be able to get through either to remotely detontate them. There's a reason x-ray technicians wear lead vests.

Secondly, if the bombs are already in place prior to Sept. 11 and very well hidden and they are intended to be denotated in major cities - seems logical enough until you reread the paragraph above. They supposedly have motion detectors attached to them in case anyone "gets close". Getting past the encased in lead argument I posed above, name 1 place in NY or LA where you can stand for 14 months and not have 1 person get within 3 feet of you? Hell, I can't take a piss in the woods and not have someone see me do it.
