The blame game.

Mike, putting politics aside - I have been wondering what the locals think of the mayor. Has he been competent in the past?

To an outsider, it looks like he did about all a mayor can do - EXCEPT, if those damn buses had been on the road helping people - they wouldn't been parked to get flooded in????

There appears to be plenty of blame to go around. It appeared at first that New Orleans had been somewhat spared in getting the brunt of the storm, which may have had some letting their guard down. But, it was definately going to hit in La/Miss somehwere & there would seem to be NO excuse for not having the National Guard ready to go immediately wherever they were needed.

Of course , all the feds came out looking stupid.... FEMA director saying he had no idea what was going on & Bush telling him what a great job he was doing - when in realty, everything was wrapped up in red tape and NOTHING was being done. Mostly they are all pompus bastards, and don't have a clue about the real world.
