Saturday July 10, 2004--Senator Kerry now leads President Bush in the Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll, 49% to 45%. Today's results reflect a five-point net gain for the Democrats since John Edwards was named as Kerry's running mate. In our last survey before the announcement, President Bush had a one-point edge, 47% to 46%.

I have nothing against liberals, I just wish they would be honest and call themselves what they are. I think we need people from all political spectrums involved in politics - Conservatives do not have a monopoly on what is right.

What does that have to do with liberal and conservative? Believe it or not, before Reagan (who laid the groundwork for the Mullah Robertson et. al.) there was a left and right in even the Republican party.

Edwards is more of a regular guy than either Bush or Kerry. Bush coasted through life for 40 years based on his dad's money and crony contacts that kept greasing the skids for him every time he failed. Edwards did grow up poor and busted his ass and made it on his own. It's a whole hell of a lot more than EITHER Kerry or Bush could ever say. I'll take a guy who busts his ass to make himself a success over a loafer who coasted through life on his daddy's money and buddies any day of the week.

Can you tell me how often Gov contracts get awarded without bidding ??
While at it, can you name another US company or 2 that can do the job Halliburton does in Iraq.
while i do think its pretty fucked up for Halliburton to be overcharging like they are. In reality its probably not that big of a deal since they employ mostly US contractors that pay taxes in the US, so the money comes back around through economy one way or another.
