What a shame too. Huda is a great guy to work with. I think his partners are making some pretty horrible business decisions... but do what ya gotta do I guess.

Actually, this rash of closing is pretty much as I expected at the start of the summer. There are plenty of programs that have been "just holding on", and they are slowly getting whittled away. Other programs are out there producing new content, opening new sites, and moving forward with new designs and such that are keeping their programs fresh and viable.
If I remember correctly, Eurorevenue had an issue a while back that made them somewhat difficult to work with (legal issue, I think), which may have put them in a weaker position.

Man, you guys gotta read the "chicken little" story.
But fellas, that being said.....the idea that people will pay for "static porn," (as I call it, in a very general sense,) is a weak one to build a business plan on.

"Static," as in, still photographs, limited audio/visual video clips, and anything that has been available in the same, flat, format since the earliest days of photography, and motion pictures ....circa turn of the century 1900 (photo,) and mid 1920's, motion pictures. You could, at this point, extend it into most works of art, which go back to cave man days.
The only thing man has done to "improve" this format, from 1900ish-2000, is in slight quality improvement, (stretched over 100 years, it's quite pitiful.) The only thing the internet has done, is improve the delivery, and distribution of this content. There was a "flush" of business possibility as this new medium was exploited, but that's over. The internet is a ubiquitous medium now. I can hold it in the palm of my hand, (no pun intended,) nearly anywhere on the planet. The tube sites, and rampant copyright infringement, confusion, or lack of monitoring, have made millions of "static" porn products, available for free. Expecting people to "pay" for it, is a delusion. The gravy train is sputtering to a stop. The internet is not "new" anymore. delivering the same material digitally, instantly, rather than paper or celluloid/videotape/DVD, was a minimal improvement, and is now everywhere for, basically, free. In shorter terms....playboy on paper, or on a screen, is basically the same. One could argue each method has it's merit, but simply putting it (the "static" material,) on a screen, while making access easier, still has other drawbacks, not found in the portable anywhere, and persistent, paper medium. Other than access, and time shifting, video porn on the "internet," has serious drawbacks in quality, and "scrubbability." Scrubbability, and instant access to certain scenes, are critical components to most male masturbation scenarios. The only way to a new "product," is create a value added feature, something they can't get anywhere else, that will expand the experience, and create a new product.

EJ, sadly, outside of letting the punters actually bang the pornstars, there isn't much left. We are selling the second hand experiece. So far we have seen that the market on devices such as yours is somewhat limited, most people are not willing to make a major monetary investment in self pleasure.
For the most part, adult entertainment is an impulse buy, a pleasure chosen on the spur of the moment, and nothing something that is grandly planned and studied. So no matter the situation, we have to remember that we are in the end marketing in the same manner as the rows of chewing gum in the super market check out lines, and not the main products people are looking for. The failures we are seeing right now in porn mostly have to do with companies who were not in the business of selling porn, but rather had shifted their models towards maximizing revenues regardless of the product. They made choices that would at some point or another lead to a dead end. (not a direct comment on Eurorevenue, as I think their issue is somewhat different). There are any number of programs out there right now development new content and sites, and putting out content that the public still seems to think is worth paying for.

firstly, if no one pays, there is no porn. Someone always pays. Our job is to get a piece of it. As far a static goes, film has been around since the 19th century and editing was a 20th century innovation which changed everything. Certain things remain true today that were true then. The same as in print...which dates back to pre history. The main requirement is to suspend disbelief, whether it is static or moving pictures. Both have co-existed for over a century now.
