LA in October?

i have a question for those of you who live in the states, i'm visiting next year probably around october time, los angeles, wondering what the average temp and rainfall is like there at that time of year?

i've looked at various charts on web and, considering i'm coming from scotland, the temps look not bad. best time to avoid rainfall seems to be june - september with it starting to increase again around october

however i can't be that flexible with my dates so it'll probably have to be october.

if i'm there for 10 days or so am i guaranteed mostly good weather?
