Who do you think deserves honours?
There are many, but two that come to mind for me immediately are Bill Bruford (Yes & King Crimson fame) and Manu Katche (high paid studio drummer).

but favorites

Joey Kramer (Aerosmith) - he'll most likely never set the world on fire but has a stun gun sound (think drum break in Sweet Emotion)

Neil Peart is an amzing player and writer
