With all the attention this is getting, I think I need to rethink my content production business strategy. Adult Photo Safaris seems to be exciting everyone's imaginations. Anybody here with Travel/Tour operation experience (and money to invest) ?
Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia (Bali), Japan, Korea, China, Tahiti, etc.
It could be fun and profitable too. What a great website it could be and content sales to boot.

Thank you, Mitzy,
you brought the topic,

Yes, all true, but...I thought
it more applies to their wives,
who are bored to death than working millionairs,
as when one is busy,
it doesn't give one too much time to go bunkers.
can you name ONE milionaire who was taken to the nuts house direct from his office????

Edd,
If you want those Thai girls to go crazy over your female companion, you better bring a young blonde with large mammaries. They won't be able to stop touching her. You probably won't have to pay for their services.
we'll spur you if you sput us...

Of course I can!!! Success is not only measured by the size of your bank account. I can surely teach you that. A fat bank account makes life easier (same thing as with a fat dick), but it's not all there is. There are too many millionaires that go to shrinks and that are in treatment facilities that prove my point.
I’m in this business to make life easier-to fatten up my account. I may be a moron when it comes to this biz, but I have succeeded and failed in many things already. So I will succeed in this....or not....
Can you chew on that? If not I’ll send a bigger bone when I get home from work.
Riding the short bus just gives you more to learn, the more you learn....well, you know the drill
George - just wanted to say you've got some very nice content! Now I just need to find me a few naughty japanese office girls who'd like to team up on a round-eye webmaster with a penchant for asian beauty! ;)
Little C - we're waiting for your announcement with baited breath! We love it when you tease us!
Mitzy - welcome to the "pool of wisdom" that is Oprano - just stay clear of they "yellow" patches! ;)
Glad to see that "If you build it... they will come" has gotten the recognition it truly deserves. I pointed that tagline out weeks ago on this very board... but that was before the Morons Say page existed. ::sigh:: Another example of being ahead of time with something. ;D

I agree it is funny but he maybe meant it to be a humorous way of geting contacts. By the way I've seen plenty of carpenters and mechanics sitting in a circle during work breaks, pulling out their tools and comparing them.
Not sure if it's SPAM if you have no involvement in the company, but here's a go. I just used Directnic for the first time and man is that a sweet service. I've got to get out of the 17th centrury.

meeting mechanics by asking them how a bolt works or what a wrench does is probably not the best route to promote your skills as a mechanic to potential employers.
of course, you can argue that he met a lof of mechanics but...
i found humor in it, i guess others did not. i am sure he is a really nice guy. my bad. :-(
Validus is smarter than any of you give him credit for, if he manages to get a good response he will have a database of names, phone numbers and addresses he would otherwise never get.
I've never had a post pulled, am I doing something wrong? :)

mitzy,
what you are doing wrong is that you are not posting about them enjoying a couple years of artificial success based largely on the ramblings and piss of one individual, who proved he take that success elsewhere, anytime he is ready.

buzz, i want to be your attorney.
but can you first explain to me everything that people learn in law school?
if a graphic designer thinks posting a question to the adult world like "how do you design a business card" as means to advertise his services.... i think he first needs a business and marketing education... then design.
i do not pay professional people to ask me what to do...
i pay people who know what is best for me, who can explain to me what i need and why, within the context of my objectives, who can outline a plan and who oversee and assist in its proper execution.
i do not see where a chef wandering around a restaurant convention, asking how to make a salad is a good way for him to get work.

I had my first business cards done back in 1985, still have one saved for sentimental value. You think it still looks ok 'know'?
let me check, I 'now' it's around here somewhere...
Here's another one for the moron post: "out of context words are acceptable, lack of business card design knowledge is not!"

in my 2 almost wasted years at college doing a graphic design degree, I think the only thing I DID learn how to do was a business card. lol
and since then, the only ones I've had to design we're my own!!
biz cards are graphic design 101 ...
validus, as long as it has your name, contact details, and a description of your services - easily readable, the rest is up to you.
You'd be surpised at how many people have no clue as to how a business card should look or be laid out.
No such thing as a stupid question, morons don't ask!

too bad that the best Moron posts are on Netpond, not here. I think it is still worthy of the archives.
i cannot believe a graphic designer is publically asking people how to design a business card... and his own at that.
=Pimpsticky:P
Good to see ya:P
Its a penny business! The big guys count pennies. Maybe like the rest of us but more likely only the few.
Like this:
If your program is set-up to payout approximatly 12 cents per counted unique on avg. Your net profit margin sits in the real value of the click. Which ever it may be.
18 cents maybe even 20 cents.
workin the resale of the non sales traffic to add in as well which are kicked around to your buddies in exchange or cold cash per day/ per mo.
There are a ton of programs each with a particular agenda. Thus the more ways to make money you have, the more money you make;P After a little tuning I suppose.

Oh my hard work for points what a disgusting prospect reminds me of when i was a kid selling candy or something. Im still trying to figure out where this cash surplus comes from to buy the prizes. When sales are supposed to be so crappy across the board. Would have to be some sorta tax thing like alien said or maybe its more sinister? Then again i have no idea just playing devils advocate a bit :)

Would giving merchandise in lieu of cash really provide a tax advantage to a company? Seems to me the recipient pays income tax on it either way, and the sponsor would label it an expense either way. ARS and CEN do the points-for-stuff thing, but my impression was that it was purely a marketing "gimmick" rather than a tax trick.

The Shave factor... So many now just simply accept it as a way of business.
One o my Pearl's that Serge placed.
"Soon many of you webmasters will not be paid cash, you will be payed prizes..."
Think about it some. It will happen.
Giving prizes is a tax write off for the companies while the tax often has to be covered by the winner. This is an ingineous idea.

The Peninsula is OK but I prefer the Regent (Royal Suite - the Sultan of Brunei uses it) or the Oriental (Authors Wing not the new rooms)
George, my next trip there I'll do wiht you,
I LOVE borders more than 5 star pieces of shit, borders are more
life like and 14 baht can of coke tastes the same as 40 bahts can of coke!
I'm not reccomending Phuket, just reporting on what is available, and laying out the ground rules. Phuket is not everyone, neither is Coral Gables.
Personally I prefer getting in my four wheel drive and looking for places that are not yet discovered by the tourists. I'm kind of a border junky and have often volunteered for war assignments as a photographer, for that rush.
As I said before in the south my favourite tourist destination is Koh Samui but I tend to go to unknown places. Easier for me because I can communicate with the locals. georgeAsian Amazons Tours for the Rich and Famous

just with a regular tour guide.

Serge you can't stay in the hotel you have to have access to the million dollar bungalos - I do
Just a few days ago a friend was asking me whether he should move to Phuket or Koh Samui (he now lives in Pattaya) and I told him if you can spend a million dollars on a bungalo and enjoy hanging in exclusive clubs with the jet set, go for Phuket. If you want to relax on the beach then go to Koh Samui.
As I said before, if you can afford it, you need me to be your tour guide
Phuket - Beautiful island in the south of Thailand, playground of the rich and famous, you can buy your own bungalo at Amanpuri resort for 1,000,000 and hang out with royalty and rock stars
Hmmm. I'll stick with buying a brand new hilltop villa in Manzanillo, Mexico for only US$250,000, 2 minutes away from the beach they used to film '10' and only 20 minutes away from an intl airport with 2 hour flights to the USA.
The rich and famous quite often turn out to be wankers.
Alien....the sponsor totals on webmastering.com are outdated. NONE payout what they used to. Matter of fact.....A good webmaster now pays more than most sponsors. Go figure!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I love history and I have always wanted to visit Asia. With the $ being so strong it's a great time to travel internationally. I would definately visit more cities than Bangkok. I like to try and do it all although it would be impossible in only 10 or 14 days.

Amanpuri is a piece of SHIT!!!!!
I've been there last year,
$750 a nite,
no TV,
no walking distance to the Ocean,
only 2 restaurants overpriced with not so great food,
$7.00 cups of coffee,
you'll be hanging with angry serge instead of royalty at this dump!

If you have a lot of bucks I'm always available as a tour guide
If you want both nightlife and a beach resort there are three choices
Pattaya - 24 hour a day sex resort - a favourite of the US Navy
Phuket - Beautiful island in the south of Thailand, playground of the rich and famous, you can buy your own bungalo at Amanpuri resort for 1,000,000 and hang out with royalty and rock stars
Koh Samui - another island where magic mushrooms and full moon parties is the prefered lifestyle
For hill tribe trekking and opium smoking you have to go north to the Chiegmai region
As far as airlines is concerned JAL has the best food, service, etc., EVA has the best value for larger seats in their deluxe class
Ulfie,
I was there last year, and Thailand is one of the most memorable countries.
Do not limit yourself to Bangkok only,
the country side is magnificent, lots of old Temples,
Sukkotai, Ayutia (old capitals)
food is hot and spicy,
people very friendly,
you'll have a time of your life.
Serge So mature, they're barely alive! LOL!

I read some of the posts about Thailand earlier today and decided to check it out. It looks like a beautiful country. Anyone ever been there? I was looking at 5 star hotels that weren't even 100 bucks a night. Looks like an awesome place to take a vacation. I would like to hear some feedback from those that have been there.
Sun, 22 Jul - 20:20:51 64.174.156.146 Post #: 5109
Webdad, I am not certain if I understand the question.
If you are speaking regarding mature traffic ... well, I don't see a "mature" domain on that list. :( Realwomen.com might work. It's not exactly targeted to the older market, but you might be able to filter off of that to a mature site.
If on the other hand, you're speaking in general, what kind of closing ratios on your top 5 domains redirected to ANY sponsor, I'd assume under 1:70. During this slump though. Hmmm ....
Alien, yep, they have it locked down. I remember at the Phoenix Convention everywhere we went one could only by Pepsi. A friend only liked Coke, and eventually asked, and turned out hotel and all restaurants around area had a contract exclusively with Pepsi.
*blush* Thanks, Serge! :-) I'll give Ed a shout. :-)
