Well I was taken prisoner by the Vietnamese in Cambodia while covering the Cambodian war (1980) as a journalist. That was quite an experience.

I wish I could stay awake to get into a discussion on DVD.

I'm working with a Mac G4 733 that has a superdive in it at the moment. Video editing and DVD production have become incredibly easy, with DVD-RW disk writing as easy as CD-ROM.

Unfortunately making duplicates in small numbers (for testing the market) is still pretty expensive. By the end of the year it should come down quite a lot though as labs start buying DVD-RW duplicators.

In September Apple is coming out with Version 2 of their iDVD software which will allow for much slicker (and still easy) DVD production.

The reason for DVDs rapid acceptance is easy to understand, not only do you have interactive control over the final product, but you also don't need a jumbo size shopping bag to take home your purchases.

I did see a smoking mag there. But there are so many now a-days.

Here's the truth.
On Friday nights I sometimes make rounds to many of the local pornshops in silicon valley.

There are actually only a few DVD's that I do not have in my stock pile.

Take me about 3 hrs. Usually.
I ask about whats in demand.
I get opinions as an anon.

Coin op sales have been down.
Mag sales to.

TIP: Its all about DVD.
Interactive ones.
Toys are second to none, especially concerning the almost real skin stuff that is out and about.

I've fucked one to and it really aint that bad:P

Netpond board was passwd protected, for memebrs only,
and bored poor Nick who had to follow Meatman's wisdom to death!

Ad Revenues were next to NOTHING,
and the Netpond Income was primarly from banner farms.

I don't see banner farms anymore,
as NOBODY sends any traffic to Netpond, except those poor souls who forgot to remove links,
I still see 2500 hits a day to cotac.com from similar poor souls

so, since I moved from YNOT, the old business model was replaced by Nick and new business model flourished,
'till Meat came back to fuck up the once very nice and warm place we all loved to be around.
