"Momento" was an excellent flick.

Even though it was made last year, I didn't see it til this year, so my favorite movie that I saw this year was "Requiem For A Dream" followed closely by "Battle Royale" (holy smokes, high school kids on an island killing each other off before the neck collars they wear explode...sadly probably won't see a theatrical release in the states and video release is even remote possibility...thank godness for Morph-- um, Internet word of mouth ;))))))

personally i hate the streams from
xxxmediagroup. They never load for me. Good content though.
Problem is that they don't actually stream their feeds from a Media server. They use pseudo streaming, HTTP, the way anybody can embed a video file in their html page.
It just doesn't work well at all.

You are really swimming upstream if u are considering putting out feeds using ANOTHER piece of software to download other than RealPlayer or MediaPlayer.

Windows Media is the best. Mike's right, you can't beat the way Fresh Webmaster Content has deployed their feeds in both Java stream for dummies and people on slow connections and a broadband feed using Windows Media.

Put up a demo of this discovery you have made. Even if it does what you says it does, i'd still recommend staying away from it. Surfers are the final judge, they still don't like downloading new plugins.

I have actually got my hands on some amazing new technology that provides 10fps, 281x110, 37kbps video, great quality, and it is amazing.

The only problem I see is it requires the user to download a 500k player. I am convinced once they see the quality, it is more than worth their while.

I will hopefully have a demo available for people to see within a week.

My opinion, and my money goes with http://freshwebmastercontent.com There feeds are as good as anyones, they also allow surfers to use 3rd party software, or just the browser with Java to see the video.

It also gives surfer multible options of sizes to match bandwidth as well.

Quality is the most important issue for me, but what seals the deal for me is GREAT PRICE...

I am sure Tonda is hiding somewhere, I bet she would hook you up with a great deal for the feeds.

I've got screen caps of what I saw, but until we figure out just who's program this is, I'm not going to post them.

No doubt what's going on sucks big time and can effect us all. Depending on what he's doing, it's most likely legal. There are numerous companies with large VC backing that have been doing this for 2 years now. However, if he's redirecting traffic that's a whole different ball game.

A few thoughts have crossed my mind about Gary & Sex.com. It sould be an interesting hour... especially with the appeal from Cohem.

I am sure that the typeins for Sex.com are not what they used to be - just like most sites & I would also think that NO repeat business was built over the years, as it being a banner farm - gave people no reason to go back - actually a reason to avoid it.

I also think that I would like to have the money he STILL takes to the bank every month :-)

A lot of people don't much care for his idea of making it a place where people do have a reason to return, and many feel he has failed to put the site to it's 'highest and best use - but we tend to forget that he already made a very tidy sum very early in the internet when he sold the dating site he created. So until I have made that much money - I don't tend to critisize much.

I've been giving the TGP2 thing a try. I don't see how it can succeed as long as you can go to The Hun and view very clean 15+ pic galleries without fear of being hit by a console within 2 clicks of his site.

About the only thing that TGP2 offers to me as a webmaster is BW savings, but BW is cheap and the more you use the cheaper it is.

This is just the opposite of trying to make it in this business. I can only build and submit so much. There just is only so many hours in the day and if I spend too much time at it I get burned out.

TGP2 comes down to build more and get less traffic. Even if I do get more sign-ups per volume of traffic it still means less sin-ups in the end for what is just as much work.

As someone who is somewhat new to this business, less then 3 years, I find this business to be much like a video game, the more success you have the harder it is to get to the next level.

Being asked to build more for less traffic does not seem like a good way to get to the next level.

Now if all the big TGPs go TGP2 then things would be much different, but as things stand now TGP2 offers the surfer less and when was the last time something that offered less got more market share.

Regarding tgp2... I guess my thought has always been that it has to be universal or at least a commitment from the big traffic guys. If not, then the surfer just goes somewhere where he can find more content. Maybe it is still growing?

But as long as the people bringing in big traffic are making money, it will be hard to change their minds. The Hun has to think about his surfers. ;-))))

TGP2 does not do well for me at all. At first it looked like it might, but after looking at things it looks like despite getting more sign-ups per volume of traffic because it is so much less traffic in the end regular TGPing still makes much more sales.

I'm a little surprised by the discussions on flashtrack, why are we talking about the effects on surfers more than the effects on those webmaster url's who are having their traffic LEACHED by this persons techniques??

You'll notice all the url's are high traffic url's - i noticed at least 1 of ours on close inspection - ars, ce etc.

We generate our traffic to our site via affiliates, search engines, etc - that's not traffic that is owned by bloody anyone else but those doing the work and paying the $$ to generate it!!!

I woke up an hour ago to a message from one of my affiliates quite harsly informing me that he had no interest promoting a site which was involved in this type of traffic theft. WTF?!?!!??! Where the hell did we get a choice in the matter?!???!

Is there anyone who truly believes this is within the confines of the law? the only reason these companies are left alone is because no one can find them!!

flashtracker is using OUR TRAFFIC to make money for those who choose to advertise there. that's OUR ENTRANCE TRAFFIC, not some free for all for any asshole with a piece of software to use as he pleases!!
