Thu, 11 Oct - 16:33:12 24.202.254.10 Post #: 24455
http://www.technews.com/news/01/171019.html Mike AI =============== Mike, this is the last chance gasp for realnames, I think. The idea never really did catch on more than that, from what I can see. Don't see much advertising telling people to type "ford car" to get to ford, but they sure do have "ford.com" on everything. I think realnames will disappear in the next couple of years. As for .TV domains, well, tv stations are starting to use them, I have seen them up here, a fair bit. I am also noticing them on individual shows, where the .com and .net of their show name is long gone. Generic names are very popular .tv domains, from what I can see. Most generic, more than 5 character domains are not really that expensive. They just set out the sucker prices for SEX, FREE, PORN, GIRLS, and a few other obvious ones. Someone made some money on it, that is for sure. Alex RawAlex A november to remember ![]()

Hooper And this one time.. at bandcamp Dot TV are cockholsters. I bet they cut the sex.TV a deal but not that much, it was gone pretty quick. They found their sucker. The worst thing is that whatever you pay for one of those domains has to be paid every year. I wonder what dotTV will do if this company goes to them when their original 2 year lease is up and says we'll give you 10 grand a year now. Take a look at the webmaster signup page.....hehehe......the purple and yellow CCBill sign up. Nothing against CCBill form but when you spend millions of bucks on a domain and content, looks like about 5 grand on the design, you'd think you'd have some custom work done on the webmaster program. That is amazing that so many people knew about Sept 11th before it happened. Hard way to learn a lesson but it won't happen again that way. Can u believe the actor James Woods sat on the plane with these guys and he thought their behaviour was suspicious enough that he called the FBI. The rumor now is that Halloween is the next big attack, in a shopping mall. Forget Afghanistan, the WAR is right HERE now. Went to sleep last night listening to the radio that they closed down the biggest water filtration plant in Toronto, my sister had to get off the subway yesterday because of a suspicious package and now today we have 4 fighter jets patrolling the skies above the city. Nuke them now. Due to the nature of terrorism there is no way to defeat it. It's either us or them. Can't believe how soft the world has become, especially the US of A. Read Moose's link. Some teenage Arab kid in a Brooklyn high school was braggin a week before Sept 11 to his teacher, actually pointing out the window to the WTC towers that it was going to happen. THEN after it happened, FBI shows up at the kids apartment. The father CHASTISES the FBI guys. WTF? That father should have been so scared by the G-men he should have been crying in the fetal position. And he leaves for Pakistan two days later. Amazing. Giuliani for President. Tough bastard. mutt ![]()

No offense Forest, but if you've never been to Russia, you might want to retract that statement. Russian isn't the easiest language to learn, more than likely, you'd starve to death before learning enough to work.

******************* nope, I was thrown from college for anti-soviet activities. I wonder what would you do at 22 in Russia without Russian language and only 3 familiar faces... anyway, you are right, 15 is not 22, no arguments from me and I'll never revisit the subject again, ANYBODY who works at 15 to support his family is a mench in my book, regardless of what they do.
