Hasnt Servint been in bankruptcy for a long time? Doesn't really mean anything Flash, many companies are smart enough to file for protection and come back out of it later on.

Hooper, don't you know *no one* believes program owners? I've put four years of traffic through sponsors, I know how my traffic converts, so I only believe through experience. All good little webmasters are born in Missouri.

my first reaction when I saw General's post was to copy it here,

AGA, Meat, I need your advice, guys....

EVERY god damn month, around this time, I get e-mails from CEN asking about ad rates and availability of spots.

after 27 e-mails exchanged,
all approvals from "higher management" obtained and money requested,
NOTHING happening and the whole process repeats itself month later.

guys, from your vast experience,

1) Should we hire a special person
to handle this virage of e-mail exchanges?

2) Place their ads and not bother with the billing and other unpleasant talks?

3) just do what my teen son does with his grandpa,
nod, smile, and wave hand, nod, smile, and wave hand?

4) answer e-mails with quotes from the Bible?

5) place their ads and hire RB or Guy McKenzie as bill collectors?

I REALLY don't know what to do....

You want proof with rewards points? Do you want the list of people who are sitting at home watching their big screen tv that they earned? I'm not naming names but one individual who was posting on here received not one but TWO vechicles from us last week :) Rewards points aren't a carnival game, we have 1,000s of happy webmasters who have received products for doing nothing more than sending traffic to us and getting paid for it.

Interesting Point of view from the company that started doubling payouts on specific days of the month.

“Serge,

It's the carnival atmosphere, if you can make people percieve they can win of course they can play. The bigger the prizes, the higher anticipation people get of winning, though in general the less chance of winning there actually is.

Toolz ARS
Wed, 26 Sep 2001 09:49:25 - IP: 209.176.118.14 - Post # 20434”

So if I understand you correct, things like giving points away for signups that can be traded in for things like stereos, cars, and who knows what, are in reality carnival games designed to give the perception that people can actually win something.

I am really surprised that Marc De pays you to tear apart his program like you have been doing.

Good morning everyone. This is Brad Coates, President of Mellow Melon Media.

Yesterday many of you may have received a spam email that appeared to be from us, Kris [mailto:info@cheergirls.com].

That email was not from us, but from a spammer, martin@svenskatjejer.nu.

Yesterday, we and many other webmasters received over 25 spam emails from martin@svenskatjejer.nu. The header looked like this:

From: martin@svenskatjejer.nu [mailto:martin@svenskatjejer.nu]
Sent: Tuesday, September 25, 2001 5:05 AM
To: sample-list@fastest.net
Subject: Succé

We replied back to the spammer with an email of our own that went into
console hell (revenge!) and he forwarded our email through his mass email list sending it to many of you. This resulted in many emails to us from pissed off webmasters thinking we spammed them.

We have never spammed and we
never will. I guess this teaches me not to screw with spammers.

Happy Birthday, Kimster and Mikey, you chillin, you.

VegasLee, anyone who counts you out best grow more thumbs. You've got more lives than Morris the Cat (obviously, since he's joined the Choir Triumphant). You were a veteran in this business when I stumbled through the door four years ago.

BTW, Marc De - what the heck did you do to your program???? Fire forward thrusters????? Good lord - 1/134 overall, after the worst summer anyone's ever had in this business. I'm not complaining, I'm just having to ride my jaw around in a handcart. Yeehaw.

Also doing well with Trafficcash, Making Bank, Ad Wealth, Latina Bucks, Siccash, Chubby Money, Big Pay, and all the usuals, plus of course Profit Plantation. Max Cash has picked up this last week, too, god bless 'em. I mention these in case anyone is looking to swap out some traffic. I find using a lot of programs, cuts down the supposed "overused" effect (which I don't believe in anyway, but just in case).

CCbucks looks cool, KK. Can't wait to give it a try.

Uncle Serge, yeah, the basic thrust of the book was extremism of all kinds, be it religious, political, social, etc.

Brad, simple answer, bankruptcy court.

Meni, Wayne has a great restaurant in Toronto. If you've never been to Gretzky's it's worth the trip. That is his legacy. Lemieux saved a franchise, Wayne skipped off to LA and NY for the big bucks when times got tough.

I also highly recommend the hockey Hall of Fame as a place to visit if you're a hockey fan. Been to Cooperstown, been to Canton, but the hockey HOF has a sort of reverence for the sport that is hard to describe. Well worth the trip if you are a fan.

Atleast when Mario retired, it was due to cancer.

Jordan retired over gambling, or was it the story that he cut himself with a kitchen knife and cut a tendon? Or did he just want to play baseball and make a mockery of the game?

I have a lot of repect for Mario. Saw him play last year in Dallas, he was still the best player on the ice most of the time.

Give him credit for saving the Penguins, no telling where they would be if he did not come back.

I agree Ulfie, totally sissy, I think basketball would be more exciting with a small pool of crocodiles just below the basket...and armor and swords for all players...then the NBA would truly be fantastic ;))

I could care less about Jordan. Basketball is a sissy game anyway. ;) If you want to talk about athletes that have saved franchises let's talk about Mario Lemieux. He saved the franchise the first time by leading the Penguins to 2 Stanley Cup titles, the second time by buying the franchise, and a third time by returning to play. Look out hockey fans, the Pens are even BETTER this year.

Oh yeah, Mario can even beat Jordan at golf. ;)
