Yeah Serge, I have been trying to get in touch with ScottPB he has jacked hundred of my photos and put on his websites. I have been trying to handle this as a professional, but I may soon hire an attorney in Australia and then go after his hosting and billing company here in the US.

Especially since we have registered our content with the copyright office, and by ignoring us, he is showing malice intentions.

Scott if you or any of your people see this you really need to get in touch with me.

Mutt,

I am not a Christian nor a Jew. I do not subscribe to the views of the Bible.

The Old Testament clearly states that being gay is punishable by death. I believe by the usual stoning at the city gates.

Now whether some Christian wants to argue that Christ changed that, that becomes a hell of a debate.

If I were Jewish, I would definitely believe that.

If I were Christian, I would definitely question it.

As a believer in neither , I do not.

Nick,

Growing up, the idea of working hard was not an important one in my family. I was not exposed to the idea of a strong work-ethic.

As I read biography after biography, autobiography after autobiography, eventually the idea of a strong work-ethic was installed in me.

Later when I reached my teens, I played guitar. I was in a music store listening to this guy playing and asked him how he got so good. He said, "When all your friends are out partying having a great time, stay home and play guitar. Do that for two years and you'll be very good." A few years later, I was voted the best guitar player in Syracuse, NY.

Sometimes, someone just needs a little push, a little encouragement, a little direction. Nature we cannot fool, for she sends her messangers out into the world to deliver her message. My message is "work hard!"

what's the difference between Falwell and a bin Laden?

Sadly, take away the 2,000 dollar suits and the rolls of fat living the good life off the donations of his followers, and there's not that much difference between them.
And if Falwell or any other American fundamentalist gets caught blowing up or funding or harboring someone who blows up an abortion clinic he deserves the same punishment as bin Laden and his kind.

I hate the American Christian Fundamentalists. But as long as they play by the rules of society you have to just put up with them and try to make sure their influence is reduced.

Mike,

I do not say nor do I believe Amandment IV is IMMEDIATELY under attack.

Congressman Orrin Hatch has said that the goal is to make sure that new measures are within the confines of the Constitution. For now, that is the goal. But if there are continued successful terrorist attacks in the US, it is not out of the realm of possibility that we will see a vigorous and then necessary debate
on Amendment IV.

The US Constitution. An excellent document but one that changes with time, attitudes, influence, and power. This is evident as amendments.

The 18th amendment, for example, prohibited the sale of alcohol. The 21st repealed it.

Amendment IV may now come under discussion in the US.

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. Impossible to address all the injustices and poverty in that part of the world. Religious fervor dominates their lives. They don't care if they have a car and a DVD player.

What we have to do is teach them that WE WILL NOT STAND FOR BRINGING THEIR INSANITY AND RELIGIOUS PARANOIA ONTO THIS OR ANY OTHER CONTINENT! NOW!

Once we have that taken care of, and I doubt we really can solve the problem of terrorism completely, we can begin to think about trying to calm their asses down over there and find some long term solutions for their conflicts.

DNA and other high tech tools are essential in the fight to protect ourselves. These guys can kidnap and kill any North American abroad and assume their idenity to gain entry to the US or Canada. Not with DNA they can't.
In the meantime every country in the free world has to go over their population with a fine tooth comb. And start kicking out anyone who is suspicious. Better to be safe than sorry. If they don't have citizenship here, that's too bad. Civil liberties be damned during war time. If people don't understand what we are up against after September 11 then we are in BIG trouble. One more successful attack on US soil, especially if it's biological, will send the world into
hysteria, with good cause.

When you've lost your wife/husband, child, best friend, sweetheart I don't think 'yeah but I still have my civil liberties' is going to console you much.

>>> WTC is not just a symbol of America to me, it's my back yard.

Serge, I worked in Manhattan for five years. The first year I lived in Union City, New Jersey. For those unfamiliar with it. Here is Manhatten, then the Hudson, then the exactly one-mile long Hoboken and about 70 stories above it on a ridge known as the Pallisades is Union City. I lived on the street that is the ramp from the viaduct, in other words on the edge of the cliff. :-)

Imagine the view I had every day of Manhatten dominated by those towers. I'd often walk a few blocks down the 45-degree hill that was my street, where I had an unfettered view of it all, and sometimes just stand there for 10-15-20 minutes, taking it all in.

The following four years I lived in Chelsea, a beautiful tree-lined neighborhood that had mid-town to my left and the Village to my right, and about four miles south of me the Twin Towers.

Which every New Yawker knows was the only way to tell South from North when you got below Houston or were on one of those wierd Village back-street mazes, or you just popped out of the subway and need instant guidance on what direction to take. It was a light tower, a beacon, and yes a million other things. It was something I saw every day at least twice a day, and usually no less than three dozen times a day for five years.

It is so weird to know it (please, I'm well aware of the people, the people dead are most certainly a part of "IT", just trying to express what the towers meant) ... so weird to see it not there. I may not have live in Manhattan for about six years now, but its still a part of me.

I looked at a Spin City rerun the other night for a laugh, saw several panaromic NYC snips, saw the towers at least three times that show for microseconds, but it's enough for me to keep saying to myself: "They're not there now. None of it is there now." Everytime I think it's sunk in, on some level I realize it still hasn't, that on some level some part of me it never will, that it will always seem to be normal to think of them still there.

Ok, I'll stop blathering now. :-)

CJ, I'm going to get some more coffee and then hit my email in a little bit. :-)

There is not a lot that someone like me can do. We all do what we can, in our own way. What do Ants have to do with the Price of Tea in China?

Then, when they reached the valley of the ants, an ant said,'Ants! Enter your dwellings so that Sulayman and his troops do not crush you unwittingly.' - from the Qu'ran

Scouts out. Find Food. Chemical Warfare. Call Friends. Friends come. Chemical Warfare Again. Stay Home. Today is Bleak.

Hunter. Gatherer. Guards. Construction Workers. Warriors. The Queen.

Welcome to the Ant Hill, my friend.

Ants are everywhere.
In your back yard.
In your front yard.
On the side of every highway.

In the desert. On the plains. In the mountains. In your house. Invasion.

One of the most successful species on the entire planet. Ants have jobs. An insect caste system. A system where ants can change their caste not by reincarnation but by pheromone. The scout ants go out from the hill in the early morning. Where they find food, a pheromone is
secreted. More Ants come. The Gatherers. They come and they come and they come. If there is more food, more pheromone is secreted. More ants come. If there is the need for more food and if there are not enough gatherers, ants that normally work in "The Ant Hill Construction and Repair" department switch jobs. A one way caste system change. Once they make that switch. they never go back. Maybe the freedom of the road is too much. Ants don't have TV. It's good to get out.

Whatever needs the ant colony has are transmitted throughout the population through chemical signals. If a twig blocks the entrance, wandering ants on their way back to their apartments send the correct signals to the workers to wake up and go to work. No one runs the ant hill. The Queen is not a ruler. There is no king. Yet, the ant hill is a model of
efficiency. Information about the demands of the hill and the supply of both workers and food is transmitted chemically whenever a change is needed.

Enter the dollar. The Mark. The Yen. The pheromone of the free market. It races back and forth sending its rippling conclusions about what the market needs and in turn what the
people need, what jobs are most important, which are most available.

Imagine that there is a drought in Columbia. The cocoa bean crop is devastated. Prices rise. Demand remains high. Supply has dwindled. Some workers are layed off. Jobs
within the industry suddenly pay less.

Meanwhile some distant country loses half of it's tobacco crop. Orders for Columbian tobacco reach record highs. The tobacco growers in Columbia raise their level of pay for workers. This attracts more workers. More workers come. Many that were left in the lower paying jobs in the cocoa bean industry are now attracted to the tobacco industry jobs. Reapportionment of
resources. Ant style. No one dictated the moves. Columbian Pesos did.

In countries dependent on Columbia's beans, coffee prices skyrock. People begin to drink tea. Orders are sent to China. More tea is needed. More workers are needed. The payscale of
jobs in the Chinese tea industry is raised.

The Invisible Guiding Hand of the Free Market. Adam Smith wrote of this force in 1777. A monumental work for all mankind. "An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations." The Wealth of Nations. Adam's book is the Bible of Capitalism. A Tour De Force
monologue on division of labour, money flow, and interest rates. Smith argued for the importance of free international trade. He stressed the importance of competition, property rights, and a limited role of government.

Smith was the ultimate defender of laisez-faire thought. The invisible hand works best, he thought, when government played the smallest role possible in the economic system. No
entitity is needed to run an economy. The market works best when people pursue their own selfish needs voting daily with their currency.

Smith's Invisible Hand is our inheritance. Us. The adult internet business. We have no central governing body. The complex roles and relationships between free sites owners, pay site owners, sponsor programs, their
affiliates, content providers, hosts, free site hosts, credit card processors, and ultimately the consumer form an impossibly difficult matrix of information to disentangle as a whole. Decisions made at the individual level determine the fate and direction of the industry. A sponsor may raise their payout to attract more affiliates, willing to accept
lower margins for higher volume. A ripple effect may ensue as other sponsor programs start to lose their affiliates. They also raise their payouts. A free site may offer twice as much free content as others. Competition over that too may ensue as a free content arms race
begins.

Easy profits a few years ago attracted many to our business. Decreasing profits now and in the near future may drive many of us out. Only the most industrious and hard-working of us may survive. Like the ant, many of us will find ourselves performing a job we had never thought of before, both within and outside of this business. New jobs within the industry are
constantly being created. Jobs for writers, promoters, graphic artists, and programmers. Demand for some of these goes up, even while it becomes more difficult for others.

Five years ago, sponsors were constantly posting messages on boards that they were looking to
purchase traffic. Now, I see more messages from people looking to sell traffic. Supply and demand, needs and greed will change the landscape as we go forward. Their will be shakeouts and shakedowns. Buyouts and Bailouts. There will be decline. There will be growth.

The gold rush is done. The gold rush where you throw up a free site and a few banners and quit your dayjob in three months is gone. It has been for many years. The California Gold
Rush of 1849 came and went. People made fortunes very quickly. When the rush ended, people continued to make a living in the gold industry. It changed. People lamented for what once was. That excitement of a quick and easy living had ended. It was replaced by large companies, hard work, and expensive equipment. The field attracted different workers after that. Machine operators, surveyors, and geologists. In 1898 in Nome, Alaska gold was found.
And it happened all over again. Those quick to realize the opportunity made fortunes again.
The American Cowboy legend Wyatt Earp was one of them. On his way there, the land was frozen solid and he had to spend the winter in the Yukon. When he finally got there, he
opened a saloon and catered to the huge population. Profits from the saloon bought landstakes and he left Nome with $80,000. A great sum at the time. A few years later he was in Tonopah, Nevada. Another gold strike. Once again he opened a saloon and made out well.

The Cowboy teaches us a lesson. Opportunities abound. Move when necessary. It's good to be the house. Don't let frozen ground deter you. Sometimes, digging for gold is not the best way to make a fortune in a gold rush.

I see TGP2 as a new gold rush. A Nome, Alaska. Something new. Sponsors, hosts, free hosts,
free site operators, and gallery makers are diverting their resources to it. Some of us are digging for gold. Others are prospecting. Yet others have opened saloons.

The invisible hand was at work in the gold rush. During the height of the rush, workers and entrepreneurs were attracted in huge numbers. Later, as the supply dwindled, they came more slowly. Finally, most left. The invisible hand guides us but does not force us. We must look
at the land and make decisions. Should we get out there and dig? Should we buy land grants?
Should we open a saloon? No matter, wherever we dig, the ants will be there ahead of us and behind us. Hopefully they remind us that our two guiding hands meet in a beautiful display of the interconnectness of nature and all things.

If you come to Nome to visit, please stop by the front office of my gold mining company. Or if it's more your style, come by my saloon, I'll buy you a drink.

My saloon is at: http://www.oprano.com/tgp2/

"He who trades liberty for security will, in the end, have neither."

We would be making a very serious mistake by imposing too many sanctions on our citizens. As far as our national security is concerned, it would be totally Constitutional to require security clearance for anyone in certain jobs (airport security, baggage handlers, ground crews, etc). National photo ID, for instance, should NEVER be an option. The possibilities for abuse are just too numerous to mention; and it is too easy to counterfeit or alter documents such as that.

What should the U.S. and its' allies do? My take:
We must be prepared to 'occupy' certain countries and remove the religious compent from their governments. We must bring those backwards into the current timeframe and set them to working for their own betterment. In order to do so, we will have to go upside their heads with a 2x4 (kick sh*t out of 'em); but we are equal to that task. We shall have to eliminate the terrorists now in existence; but we are also equal to that task.

As for the students in this country who are protesting, consider the source: Come on, people! What is a student? He/she is supposed to be there to learn; so by definition, he/she is ignorant, uneducated, and (in some cases) just plain stupid! Talk about giving a loaded gun to an idiot!

Serge, it depends on what you mean by solution.

1- retaliate for NYC attack and scare them from another?
a no-brainer as its only likely to result in further attacks
by these psycho killers.

2- do nothing, preach peace and forgiveness?
another no-brainer, their only aim is our death and destruction,
they have no need for compromise or harmony.

3- assassinate all moslem fanatics and political extremists?
thats just like cutting the claws off a tiger, its still big and
mean; the claws grow back and you get eaten later.

4- mass genocide? errrr? don't think so.

Lessons were learnt after WW2.
the Nazis and Japs were defeated -
massively and overwhelmingly.
their regimes were replaced and the
peoples of Germany and Japan were given
're-education' and a protected democtratic
society where capitalism could flourish...
Germany and Japan are now No.2 & 3 in the world.

Therefore the only way to win this is
a massive overwhelming victory!
this is a daunting prospect and can
only be done with the assistance
(or non-participation) of Russia and China.

Replace these quasi-religious states with
true western-supported democracies instead
of propping up ultra-rich elite sheiks.
anti-western mullahs should be eliminated
by all/any means possible (they are the
root cause of the problem) and religion
should be separated from politics.

The Middle East has been awash with oil money
for half a century but 99.99% of it never
filters down to ground level.

Saudi Osama bin Ladin's net wealth is probably
greater than the total wealth of Afghanistan.
The Saudi royal family and their elite clique
sit around in Arabian palaces and act like
big playboys in the casinos of Europe displaying
obscene wealth whilst Iraqis, Sudanis, Palestinians
etc. suffer and die in poverty.

If these countries had the same constitution and
living standards as the US there wouldn't be a problem.

Poverty, ignorance and injustice
will always be a recipe for 'terrorism'.

Any form of opposition in these countries to
their local regimes is crushed completely.
The only avenue permitted is to express
opposition to 'the Great Satan USA'.

We're fighting a mind-set.

We have EVERY RIGHT to impose a solution on others.
Completely change the national situation.
Then change the mind-set of the population.

Beyond all the flag waving I see a lot of tears ahead.
Half-measures will only result in more trouble.
It appears to be that the US and UK will if necessary
take on this complete task anyway.
We have little choice.

So Serge, I'm with ya!
time to take off the gloves
and give the armed forces all the
slack they need to complete the job entirely.
No bullshit holding back like 10 years ago.
Let 'em go and do what they do best!

Have you noticed?.. yet to see a major demonstration in any arab/moslem country that's pro-US and anti-Osama bin Laden. Just seeing lots of moron-ragheads burning US flags. -marty
-------
perpaps my differing take on this is because we see a much more global news being that we are 'non american' country ... I have seen several different 'vigils' held at places of worship in pakistan, isreal, turkey - outside us embassy's, at churches - american flags hanging proud on fences, flags flown at half mast, signs reading 'america, we share your pain' and so on.

I know this is hardly political acts of terrorism or protest in return, but don't those display's count for something?

regarding the infamous west bank news broadcast - I was watching 60 minutes (current affairs program last sunday evening) which showed an interview with a journalist based in pakistan. The journalist said that he had witnessed that event being set up by israelies - handing out lollies to children and so on. I don't know which is the truth - none of us do, but its thought provoking ...

The burning of the american flag was supposedly taken from old footage of protests within afghanistan ...

does anyone have links to any sites containing further information on the above? I'd like to read a different take...

USA haven't started WW1 or WW2 and
WW3 is not an exception.

My grandfather's brother lost his life, russian immigrant from Palestine in 1918 in WW1 fighting in USA army, I still have his neck army medalion,
our family lost lots of relatives in the WW2, my grandfather lost his life on the front, my aunt in Warsaw Jewish ghetto and...what was the alternative?????

succumb to Hitler?

I think the choices today are not any different than they were in previous World Wars.
Given just few more months Hitler would have nuclear weapons,
where would the world be today if USA haven't sent their sons to Europe?

We either do it now...... Or do it later......

If we do it later we will have to defend against nuclear, biological and chemical weapons....

So my vote is kicke there ass now and send them back to what ever.....

I know it sounds harsh.... But it has to be done.....

I would rather be involved in a Jihad (holy war) then a nuclear war 10 years from now.....

Any solutions Serge?
*************************

Marty, you have a good reasoning, I can't argue with your logic.

My solution is taken from HISTORY which ALWAYS repeats itself:

1) during the Ottoman Empire hay days,
serbs army had uprising.
They were defeated, captured,
BLINDED and their leader was left with one eye to lead them back to Serbia.
Ottomans had no serb uprising after that for 400 years.
I am a strong believer that FORCE
untied hands behind back FORCE
is needed NOW.

2) what is your solution?
is mine too barbaric?

Have you noticed?.. yet to see a major demonstration in any arab/moslem country that's pro-US and anti-Osama bin Laden. Just seeing lots of moron-ragheads burning US flags.

If the 'global moslem community' outside the US is so anti-terrorist,
and Islam is about peace; when are they going to stand up and kick the asses of their oh-so-vocal
extremist minority.

My guess is that on the whole they're quietly smirking at their minor victory and too scared to cheer. Example; the Palestians cheering were rapidly supressed by the PLA for fear of the bad press.

Expect international protests worldwide and 'grass-roots' uprisings by moslems around the world, whipped up by the mad mullahs when the US coalliton strikes any target anywhere.

Should Iraq be targetted (it should,
and it will) you can expect an attack by them and others on Israel.
Israel will strike back.

If the army govt of Pakistan is overthrown by the mad mullahs of the pro-Afghan Islamic party (and it will), you'll have these nutcases armed with nukes. India is unlikely to stand back and watch.

Anyone who thinks the Iranians, Syrians and Sudanese will all-of-a-sudden become allies of the US or UK must have rocks in their heads.

Indonesians (220 million) are already protesting in support of bin Laden and want to take up arms should there be an attack.

The whole thing has been brewing for a long, long time and the hijackers just lit the blue touch-paper.

We have the advantage (or dis-advantage) of good education, liberty, free press and a mixed society. The vast majority of moslem populations live in a world of poverty and ignorance, a spawning ground for extremist views promoting the USA as the great Satan.
This view is widespread and would take a generation to change.
It ain't going to happen.

I don't see any 'peace rallies' happening out there in the nations of Islam.

The middle-east is a black hole and
we're all being sucked into this one and we have no choice about it.

Distortion of the Qaran or not,
we are on the verge of a global
war of moslem v non-moslem....

Maybe our sense of justice, democracy and rational debate is our weakness because unfortunately, despite the conflicting views around about this war, and the desire for peace, there's no room for fence sitting here.

6000 people were simply going about their business and no longer have any choice in the matter.

So pick your side, or have it picked for you sooner or later.

World population: 5 billion
Moslem: 20% - 1 billion
Extremist: maybe 1% ....
that's a enemy of
10 million hardcore whackos
scattered all over the planet!

Any solutions Serge?

Serge,
I was trying to be the nice guy:)

I belive the great land of israel will always probably be in harms way, I don't and will not ever support anyone, that would try and throw them to the wolves, ever!!

I hear that shit alot, make israel the scapegoat. but as Dad always said, there is more jews in New York, then the whole State of Israel, and what does that mean, it means We will never fuck them, or ppl will play bad politics:)

At least our great brothers and sisters in Israel might be a little safer after all this.
***************************

Todd, I disagree on that.

1) Israel's hands were tied up for the last 34 years, and now they are tied even more than ever.

2) I also concerned the voices of this fucked up generation
(rememebr Spanno's post about abandoning Israel as he sees we suffer for our ties)
and if those people had their way,
they would sacrifice Israel first and EVERYTHING else later in the hope they obtained security, without any understanding that when you give up the finger, the dark forces want your whole arm and than the whole body.

I am sure the NEXT generation,
my grandchildren who grow up with IDEAS instead of Nintendos,
will have better set of values,
Pearl Harbor attack saw tremendos amount of army volunteers,
do we see them today?????

nope,
fuckers send me e-mails instead that attacks on local arabs is MORE important than defending free world.

sign of the times....

don't get me wrong,
I AM CATEGORICALLY AGAINST ATTACKS ON US CITIZENS, regardless of their race, religion or national origin,
but...I wish they saw the FOREST behind trees...

few words about turkish army.

The turkish republic has begun by Kemal Pasha known as
Ataturk, the hero of Gallipoli campaigne who defeated brits, australians, new zealanders who tryed unsucessful invasion at Bosfor straights at the cost of 250,000 on each side,
who said to his troops:
"I do not order you to attack, I order you to die"
and who also drove greek army away from Turkey few years later.

Ataturk also said:
"mothers, wipe out your tears,
your sons gave your lives here and now are our sons"

I was at those cemeteries,
they are well taken care of and looked after, the youngest grave stone I saw was 15 years old kid from Australia....

Ataturk removed clerics from the army, the tradition well alive today and army intertferes from time to time in the government matters when religion trys to
influence the government.

I felt VERY safe seeing military on the major corners in every large cities.

Hi Todd! :-)

i should have added ... when there is 100,000 more assholes waiting in line to take their place as we arrest them.

for the first time in my life i found myself questioning many things i believed in. Many principals that most Americans believe in. Principles that people have fought and died for in the past that murderers now hide behind and slip in and out of the system and commit the most attrocious acts imaginable against humanity.

Serge,
I am sure if sadam get's out of hand, or does anything that we consider a threat, he will be dealt with harshly. Bush owes that to daddy, and Cheney has always belived we should have ended him in the gulf war.

meanwhile....we should AVOID mistakes made by our leaders,
Turks who are VERY pro-american were uproared by Bush using word "crusade",
that was a blunder we can't afford.

jr,

Well said, and very true!!!
----------------------------
as i said before, "justice" can only be found in eliminating the threat and protecting humanity from future attacks.
Not jailing a whacked out asshole who wanted to die anyway.

i think it would be wrong to just level middle east nations when the fight is against the terrorists but in say that - i agree with bush you are either with us or you are not.
*******************

General,
what I hope for,
after Saddams of this world see
that regimes which support terrorism, like Taliban,
get erudicted from the face of the earth,
this would give them only one choice:
eradicate them yourselves or face the same removal from the face of the earth as political entity.

Saddam CAN control his people,
we all saw that,
the direction of this control WILL change after the example is set,
this si my real hope.
