it is a massive criminal case not to mention a direct question of National Security as well as directly connected to a massive military strike and all of which is still under investigation.
______________________
JR this would only be a criminal case if it was done by individuals, or citizens. That is what some people are getting confused with. This is an act of war because it was commited by foreign nationals, supported by foreign governments.
This is an act of war - no gov't as declared war against us, but the actions are what matters.
I am starting to see some signs of the ant-war people. Who want peace through back down, and letting bygones be bygones. They will get more vocal as time goes on - but the country needs to stay focused.
They had some woman on Fox telling people Bin Laden and other terrorists should not be killed, but rather they are innocent until proven guilty, and deserve equal protection, blah blah blah.... I guess the woman does not understand our Civil Liberties only extend to Citizens of the United States.
In the past we have tried to deal with terrorism as a criminal matter - investigating, indicting, jailing the patsys of the real master minds. Then trying to pin-prick those behind it. It is now time to wipe these people, and those who support them off the map. Will it happen in one day?? in one month?? No - infact it will take years of effort... But a gov't that cannot protect its own people is not a viable gov't at all.

That first math is based on exactly 990,000 a month in trans, the second one is a flat million a month in trans, I should qualify.
I should also mention that adult merchant rates aren't often in the 3% range any more due to high risk, and there are also transaction fees that don't figure into that percentage that is paid. These numbers are also before customer service and g&a kicks into the equation so managing a merchant account of your own is often just as expensive as running third party -- and if you don't do the service well, it can be substantially more expensive than running third party for your processing.

Bin Laden is behind one of the most vast and sophisticated terrorist networks in the world. for that alone, he should be destroyed. anyone connected to him and knowingly providing any direct support for him which enables him to carry out terrorist attacks should be destroyed. they are prime candidates to be the first to be made examples of.
he is a prime candidate to be the first example of the worlds intollerence for people like him and for terrorism and terrorist acts in general.
of course you are not going to find current intelligence reports about terrorist networks regarding their links to the WTC. it happened only 9 days ago. Additionally, a war is beginning. A major US military target (the Pentagon) was successfully attacked. it is a massive criminal case not to mention a direct question of National Security as well as directly connected to a massive military strike and all of which is still under investigation.
of course any info is held tighty in national and military intelligence circles. did you think all info would be published this week in Mad Magazine? :-)
Bin Laden has never been labeled more than a "suspect" and he is also wanted for direct connections to other bombings.

Another interesting bit of math for you Vick -- let's say the average transaction is 30 dollars.
when you multiply that by the .30 per transaction (I'm assuming that is per trans, I haven't read the particulars) that is another $990 in transaction fees + the % which comes out to an even 10%.
If one did a million a month in transactions it would still come up to 8% after the transaction fees.
*Depending* on what the other % deductions are, it might in the end cost you more than a set rate at one of the third parties.
MikeAI - I agree, I agree, that article shows being politically correct is a irrational thought process
The only thing that did not piss me off reading was "Blessing in New Jersey"
I can understand taking the word God off a school due to church/state
Melissa D - looked at your new billing solution.
Fees:
0-99K - 9% plus .30
100K- 249K 8.5% plus .30
250K - 499K 8% plus .30
500K - 999K 7.5% plus .30
Greater then 1M 7% plus .30
With some other % deductions
Well am guessing this is per month
If you're billing a million month would it behoove the party that was billing to have their own merchant account and pay just 3%?

Good article Mike.
I think President Bush summed it up best when he said, "We're not going to launch a $2 million dollar missile to knock out a 10 dollar tent." That's what Clinton did and it's clear it didn't work. I see this as a long process of small strikes. We can learn a lot from Israel in this area. Their intelligence agencies are incredible and we are going to benefit greatly from them being our allies.

I think you guys are missing the boat with the bin Laden shirts. He's just a smoke screen at this point. Yes, he is going to be brought out "dead or alive" but after reading all the intelligence reports I could find I don't think he is the one ultimately behind this. Yes, he was a part of it but I think Iraq was backing him with intelligence, money, etc. I don't think the big attack is going to be on Afghanistan, it will be on Iraq in my opinion. The attacks in Afghanistan will be handled by special forces on specific targets with massive air support just in case anything gets out of hand. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong but I think the fact that bin Laden has been made a target so publically should be a clear signal he isn't the person we want the worst. Whether playing poker or fighting a war, never give away your hand.

Anyone notice the joke of a publication from Netpond?
The Statistician?
Apparently last week they released Max Cash hit counts that were very low. This then let everyone know that Max Cash had changed their hit counting to attempt to make their lowsy numbers look better.
So I guess RB picked up the phone and was gonna pull the advertising so this week you will notice the Max Cash sites have an N/A listed on what the program actually counted. I heard also that some of the sites AGA tested got 0 signups and this time he didn't list them. For fear of losing advertising money from Max Cash!
Way to go AGA! Grow some balls and keep the newsletter honest!

Warning: Long but excellent post....
The following has apparently been attributed to State Representative
Mitchell Kaye from GA. I hope this guy runs for President:
"We, the sensible people of the United States, in an
attempt to help everyone get along, restore some
semblance of justice, avoid any more riots, keep our
nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure
the blessings of debt free liberty to ourselves and
our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one
more time to ordain and establish some common sense
guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden,
delusional, and other liberal, bedwetters. We hold
these truths to be self-evident: that a whole lot
of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and
are so dim that they require a Bill of No Rights.
ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big
screen TV or any other form of wealth. More power to
you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is
guaranteeing anything.
ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be
offended. This country is based on freedom, and that
means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may
leave the room, turn the channel, express a different
opinion, etc., but the world is full of idiots, and
probably always will be.
ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from
harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn
to be more careful, do not expect the tool
manufacturer to make you and all your relatives
independently wealthy.
ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and
housing. Americans are the most charitable people to
be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we
are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation
after generation of professional couch potatoes who
achieve nothing more than the creation of another
generation of professional couch potatoes.
ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health
care. That would be nice, but from the looks of
public housing, we're just not interested in public
health care.
ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically
harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally
maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest
of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.
ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the
possessions of others. If you rob, cheat or coerce
away the goods or services of other citizens, don't
be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock
you away in a place where you still won't have the
right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.
ARTICLE VIII: You don't have the right to demand that
our children risk their lives in foreign wars to
soothe your aching conscience. We hate oppressive
governments and won't lift a finger to stop you from
going to fight if you'd like. However, we do not
enjoy parenting the entire world and do not want to
spend so much of our time battling each and every
little tyrant with a military uniform and a funny hat.
ARTICLE IX: You don't have the right to a job. All of
us sure want all of you to have one, and will gladly
help you along in hard times, but we expect you to
take advantage of the opportunities of education and
vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.
ARTICLE X: You do not have the right to happiness.
Being an American means that you have the right to
pursue happiness - which by the way, is a lot easier
if you are unencumbered by an overabundance of idiotic
laws created by those of you who were confused by the
Bill of Rights."

from the article Forest posted:
"Bin Laden is a schoolboy in comparison with Mughniyeh," says an Israeli who knows Mughniyeh .
"The guy is a genius, someone who refined the art of terrorism to its utmost level. We studied him and reached the conclusion that he is a clinical psychopath motivated by uncontrollable psychological reasons, which we have given up trying to understand. The killing
of his two brothers by the Americans only inflamed his strong motivation."

Hi Everyone,
I like everyone else, have been completely overwhelmed by the events of the last 8 days...There simply are no words in the English language to express what I feel...
But there is a program that I would like to share with you..
The Vermont Teddy Bear Company Is donating Angel Bears, Police Bears and Firefighter Bears to all the families and children of those brave souls who lost their lives in an attempt to save others...
The cost of these bears is $70.00 each, HOWEVER!!! The Company is donating the cost of the bears and all they ask of you is to visit the site and write a message to accompany the bears...
They invite us to share our love and strength to the innocents who have suffered at the hands of cowards -- and let them know that we will never forget our heroes.
We at Insite Adult Strongly Support this drive and ask that all of you visit the site and send a message to the families and especially the children of those who made the Ultimate sacrifice in the service of their fellow man.
As I said above, there is NO COST to you...
All they are asking for is a message from you to accompany the Teddy Bears.. and I know right now, that even I could use a Teddy Bear as all of my sense of security went down with the Planes and Buildings that fell on September 11th..
We all know how we feel personally, now imagine the children who lost their Mothers and Fathers on that day...
Or the parents who lost their Sons and Daughters, or the Husbands who wait for their wives to be found and the Wives who must face the fact that their husbands will never return... Totally Unimaginable to me
I have written a letter to the Vermont Teddy Bear Company asking them to include ALL of the children who lost a parent in the Tragedy of September 11, 2001 and will keep you updated

Yes Forest is banned on the TGP2 board namecalling is one thing I will not be compared with Bin Laden by him and stand for it. That is the reason plain and simple.
As for his posts I haven't pulled anything. I do not pull posts I have no time for that.
Instead I coded a bot to spider the board and read the body of the posts. Any url posted by the same person more then 5 times in a month is deemed spam and will be deleted. I haven't checked but I gues his posts were among them.
I repeat it reads the body of the posts not the signatures just to be clear.
It also does not read the oportunity forums as they are for spamming ;)
As for Colin, Personaly I feel him taking over this board will prove to be a large improvement as he does as he says and is not full of hot air like Dum Dum(sorry for the name calling couldn't resist).
Colin I have sent you a button for my board and as soon as you have one for me a button to this board will be on mine.
I trust after this post we all know where we stand.
