Several of my domains show Record last updated Sep 10 or Sep 12, 2001.

I know that I've made no changes to any of them.

Netpond shows record last updated Sep 12, 2001. Oprano shows a July date. It depends on the registrar.
DirectNIC may reflect actual whois db changes while DomainNameSystems (openSRS) is reflecting the last Whois DB update and not the actual record change.

A whois change won't hide anything though. Past changes are all kept.

www.worldtradecenter.com resolves fine here, but I suspect its being overloaded with traffic.

Well, since our flights were cancelled today to go to Las Vegas & join Alex & Vegas Lee for an AdultDex Summit - I have made an appointment with my investment counselor. I am going to be ready at market opening tomorrow to put every cent I can spare into mutual funds. Only renewed faith in our financial system will sustain it. There is only so much any of us can do at times like this, and each of us must find our own way to rise to the occaision. It is very important that we get back to the business of living & put fear in its place. I will be flying out tomorrow. These are my ways of thumbing my nose at the enemy. I can't think about anything else. Impossible. I have no power in the world but like everybody else I have ideas. Yesterday I had made up my mind that America had to physically destroy much of the Middle East, most likely with nuclear weapons. But as time passes I realise that if we do the end of the world is upon us. Yesterday was a lesson that as great a country as America is its people and government have overestimated the control it has over the rest of the world and the ability to protect its own soil and people. We drop nuclear bombs and we have no idea what Pakistan or some other country that has nuclear weapons could do in the hysteria that a US nuclear attack on a Middle Eastern country would do, not to mention Russia and China.

The problem is that like I said yesterday these Muslim fundamentalists are now like sharks that have tasted blood. For the first time they have seen themselves
inflict pain and death in huge numbers on the evil United States. Those young guys we saw celebrating on the West Bank yesterday and more shockingly the Arab youths in Patterson New Jersey celebrating the carnage have the fever now.....there are now thousands of them who want to be the next group of hijackers to destroy America. They want to die as heroes and martyrs. There is no way we can protect ourselves from them, yesterday proved it. This is just going to be the beginning. Next time it's the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City or the Super Bowl or Disneyworld.

It looks to me like America can either risk WW 3 and scare the hell out of them all with a limited nuclear attack...........or........lock up North America like Fort Knox. Then there's some tough decisions to make about who gets to stay in the country. Some people do have to go even if some innocent people unfairly are deported. This is every bit as dangerous and serious as the situation in WW11 when American Japanese were interred. FDR wasn't a racist, he did it out of fear.

Maybe I'm just freaking out but in my gut I don't think so. It's those kids celebrating that convinced me.

If you search several domain names.. the record last updated means the WHOIS database was updated with the registrar and not that the domain record was changed.

Depending who your registrar is, check your own domain names and look at the record last updated date.

Please research and provide accurate information rather than speculation and rumor.

Exactly. When I saw that the record was updated on 9/10... it screamed at me... if it was just a coincidence that the owner modified the domain a day before the attack, then the truth shall set him free... but I'd like to see the look on their face when they have to explain this... and they will.

grimm, i just heard on ABC that Fed Reserve said that cash flow will not be effected.

One another not, Here is something to think about. Overseas stock markets are down 5-10% already and US markets are closed for at least another day. Price of dollar is down, gold is going up. If and when US exchanges reopen and lets say fall 5-10%. How far are we from melt down of all major financial markets?

In addition WTC had offices for 31 Japanese Banks.
Plus Morgan Stanly had 50 floors in one of the buildings.

Econnomies in Asia/Japan and Europe already week as they are, and US econ possibly heading lower as something like this will no doubt bring down consumer confidence and spending, How far are we from going into a full Global recession?

I was not going to post this except on TNB.... But I feel I must.

I see to much emotion going on. I cried all day off an on. I'm not going to go into the personal tragedy that has happened to me or my family from this at this time. All I'll say is my family and my self will need time to grieve.

Remember that we as adult webmasters are a community and I think I can speak for most of us.... This.... Is our extended family......

So please.... Before responding to another persons post, remember most if NOT ALL of us are posting under deep emotions and shock.

We are family. Yes we can disagree. But we must stick together.

This is NOT just a US tragedy. This is a world tragedy as is any terrorist attack or war.

We must all be given time to grieve and reflect. We must release our emotions. We must stick together and help each other.

We must keep our focus on exactly what has happened. Now and in the past. We must stay a family.

All of us have or will be touched by this tragedy in one way or another before it is all over. And it will be long before this is over.

None of us know the whole story and most likely we never will.

So please realize WE ARE ALL HUMAN! We have emotions but we are all capable of love.

So read the love and emotions between the lines of all posts. We are a community.... We are family. Pray for the victims and pray that justice will be served fast and swift, but accurate.

It was the World Trade Center.. how many banks and lending institutions and normal businesses were based there? Both the real and percieved losses are going to have a huge impact on the already struggling economy. Expect another big rate cut by the Fed. I read on one of the news sites that the Federal Reserve Bank in NYC (the one from Die Hard 3?) was considering opening to let people cash in money for gold.. Many banks were limiting withdrawls of cash. I went to Wal-mart earlier (what a madhouse!) and there were empty spots on the shelves (luckily I went shopping last night). Of course the places that make food were not affected but if people go out and buy up essentials (like gas) then the problem of shortages is created while supply catches back up.
Hopefully tomorrow is a little saner..

I don't have a political party affiliation. After watching yesterday, my confidence level in Dubya, which I had given with the benefit of the doubt, hit the toilet. To me at this point, the only saving grace behind the White House are named Cheney and Powell. Thank the gods the war horses are there to guide junior.

George W Bush was simply horrible yesterday in both his public addresses. He looked frightened.
Americans and the world for that matter are looking at the President for leadership and strength. Part of being the President is an acting job. Nobody did it better than Reagan and Clinton was Oscar material too. Their was no righteous indignation in George Bush yesterday, imho there should have been.

We simply need better presidential candidates. Being the son of a rich man and the owner of a major league baseball team isn't enough to be the leader of the free world. I hope Bush grows into the job, both stylistically and intellectually.

In daytona beach, they found a car with expired tags, Bin Laden picture in the window, and an arab sticker on back of the car, the vehicle was near an "air storage" facility, the owner of the car used to be an emory riddle student [airplanes], and quit in June of this year.

They won't release any more details and asked the ppl who found the car not to talk.

They are investigating to see if this has any connection.

Some states have laws against price gouging when a state of emergency has been declared. Georgia and Florida do. Of course, from what I saw on the news earlier today, only 3 states have declared a state of emergency....I wonder if there can be a FEDERAL state of emergency?

No. As I posted before, the owner of WorldTradeCenter.com updated the DOMAIN record yesterday (09-10-2001)... before the attack. Then, the owner updated the record again today, but unless whois now sends update-bots out to websites, the record update info has NOTHING to do with new pages being added to the website, etc... it has everything to do with MODIFICATIONS made to the domain record... i.e. Registrant, Nameserves, etc...

but we have plenty of registrars on the board and I could be mistaken.

as a side note...

This morning, I checked WHOIS for every variation of today's date (091101.com,Sept112001.com,etc..), and other WTC domains and each and every one was already registered before the first tower even fell.

Morbid, but efficient... well, maybe 'efficient' isn't the right word, but you get the gist.

Thanks for the support about the flag. We weren't sure if people would be offended by our patriotism or not. So far we've received about several emails thanking us for doing so... (from surfers as well as webmasters) not a single negative comment yet.

1) The palestinians attack Isreal.
2) Isreal kicks palestines ass.
3) Isreal takes the gaza strip as a spoil of war.

5) Palestine tries to get it back.
6) The USA sides with Israel.
7) To retaliate, the nation of islam retaliates against the USA by bombing and terrorizing our citizens.
8) We catch & punish the bombers.
9) Nation of islam decides that the solution is to terrorize some more.
