Thats why you need to maximise the traffic the same way as you would TGP traffic, if you know its shit traffic.. Find a way to trade it off for semi-decent traffic

It's because they've found a relatively easy source of traffic, but haven't got a fucking clue how to work it / convert it***.
Slapping some galleries into a blog script, doesn't make it a blog.

It is like anything i beleive, you cant just toss traffic at it and have it magically convert, you want to filter it down and only shoot for the targeted traffic.
Heres an example of stats from 2 small blogs i run, one getting hits from yahoo and the other getting hits from yahoo and google.
Both these are hits from the 15th and 16th til today, and for only 2 blogs.
This is a squirting blog, i dont update it and is basically just a static site, what makes it kind of cool is its on bloggers, free host, something started as kind of a test. This was a slow week on it, it usually converts at about 1/25 join page clicks.
And then this one with alot less traffic but strictly from the search engine yahoo. I often login to see only 10-15 hits to flashcash with one or 2 sales.
Now this one has 2 more sales down beneath what ive cut but it gives a excellent example of HOW they should convert if you use your head.
I think that if you follow the true form of the blog and not make it a glorified tgp, thats when you can begin to reap the rewards of it. Just like anything else, it all depends what your main traffic source is. And how well you can sell them when they get there.
One thing i can assure you of is all you'll find on them blogs is one or 2 pictures to presell and links to the sponsor, coupled with some quality text, and its in the bag. No-ones beating off to these pages, they have to pay for that.
If you update regular and give them a few galleries or videos, in 3 weeks you would have enough content for them to whack off too for a month. Fuck them, give them a couple QUALITY pictures and send them to the tour or trailers.

Yes and usually does about 1/140 to 1/200.
I added some links to those blogs, from another couple sites i run, shortly after the initial listings in the engines to increase my links and rankings, and with that came some trickles of traffic from them, which in turn lowered my conversion abit. Because it was a little less filtered traffic.
And im still a newbie at filtering and directing the traffic, im sure with some more time i will be down to much more impressive rates.
BTW these sites are part of a pretty big matrix i put together a while ago, and only 3 of about 40 or so are showing in the engines where they should, within the next month or two this should be responsible for about 150-250k hits to the sponsor a month network wide. (500-750 per site per day, per paysite) with my initial goal to convert it at 1/500. The initial results showing the past 2 weeks show me ill be fairly close on the traffic estimates and perhaps better on the conversions.

The top one from trafficcashgold see about 1000 uniques a day and sends about 250 of them to the sponsor (increases by 10-15% everyday) and the other one sees about 500 uniques a day and sends about 250 a day to the sponsor, but converts at about 1/80 hits to the sponsor, (all yahoo traffic)
Small ammounts of traffic per site, but completely targeted, if they hit my page they are buyers, and they are looking for what im selling, its like being the only beer store in town, and trades and hardlinks?...all go to more of my shit with no freebies as well, if they are gonna beat off they are paying to do so

You can filter traffic from SE's like fuck , and refine it and send 350 clicks (your count) converting to 5 sales (on their count) for a fan- fucking-tastic ratio of 1 in 70.
Me ? I'm really crap at filtering traffic and all that stuff ,I'd take the gross amount of traffic to the site , enjoy the Server Redirect and send 3000 (my count) hits converting to 6 sales at a sucky ratio of 1 in 500.

Thanks Nick its a neverending process...and yes i ALWAYS read Bills posts along with many others here.
Agreed about the "know what you send" aspect, a fella i work with/for is having some nice scripting done to monitor that stuff and im hoping by next week i will have some interesting info to scour over.
Should aid me in my little journey..haha i know im nowhere near my destination yet.
Also, not sure what UVOVUNS is but id be willing to listen if thats what i needed to do to have a chat with Serge...haha

Agreed again but i have some rules to follow to have the engines agree with my pages and too maintain a long term presence i have to stick with the rules. Im still in the process if figuring out the best ways to deal with the traffic but i do know some of the things i cant do with it..haha
Im trying to establish long term independant sources that i can add to at a whim and build stuff focusing solely on a spider, in order to do it
I wouldnt boast about the conversions but i have some good data to answer the post question, and beleive that it can "convert" better then alot of the standard methods used by "most" webmasters..heh (damn you guys keep a guy on his toes)
But i think thats because it is a fresh market or marketing method, which means opportunity.
And as always, im completely open to advice and suggestions
