Geeze - I was a psychology major who never got a degree and even I can answer this one:

You are incapable of getting attention on your own merits. You're abrasive and bitter and no one wants to be around you. Therefore, the only way you can get attention is to cause problems. Sadly, bad attention is better than no attention.
