My email is either screwing up again or the two of you are avoiding me.

Hi Peaches. I've had to make major changes because of spam lately.
My one provider was so anti-spam, it was stopping newsletters and legitimate ecommerce mails from getting to me. (Took a while to find out about the latter, who knows the things that got missed.) Then I switched to one that had no filtering and was getting (still am) deluged with 2,000 spams a day. (Yeah I was finally getting newsletters and business emails, but finding them was like a needle in a haystack!) Finally found a combination of things, basically using Mail Washer Pro, that now allows me to get all of my email, but to also go through several hundred spams at a time within a couple minutes. Woohoo!! Now to finish turning all my domain defaults away from me (so I no longer get 12ba7$E1!@mydomains.com crap) and I'll be set. In short, got your email, been delayed cause of this spam problem that's finally under control, reply on it's way!! PS, this is probably all Nick's fault! :P Last edited by Dravyk at Dec 16 2003, 12:22 PM |

I'm getting ready to give them the boot too - they are filtering EVERYTHING away as Spam. Grrrrrrrrr.... I kept it because it I've had it since I was a newbie and it was cool keeping the old addy for friends, family, etc. but it's getting to be NOT worth it. BTW.... got those 10 Questions for me yet? |

As for Mindspring ... you have two choices, use the EarthLink filtering (yuck) or let everything come through. The latter, with Mail Washer, was very good. Except for the problem that three times out of every fourth "mail check", the server "could not be found" made that nearly useless (not to mention increased my blood pressure significantly!) I'm using my Pup's internal mail system now. It always connects and, unlike using an ISP's mail server, I know the owner's home phone number. Quote:
... And since I'm already outta my mind normally .... Btw, have something for me? |

For you? Oh that's right... I only just found out you got that thing from me, now let's chat about getting something else. I wanted to make sure Step #1 was taken care of 1st. I'll check with the PTB and let you know by the end of the week. I want to get something started before Internext. BTW... will you and Electra be going? I want to make sure we bump into you guys at least a couple dozen times during the show. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Vegas already! |

Yep, we'll both be at the Venetian for three days. Shorter trip this year. Too much on the plate. |
